I'm sure we've expressed great interest in a high potential forward. But it's the cost that makes me wonder what would actually get this deal done.

Interesting. Dvorak is a center, so I suppose he would be on the third line replacing Spooner. I don't know too much about Dvorak other than he's a young kid with good speed and hands.

Also, major point, he's only 839K this year and next.
Then an RFA.
Can and also played LW.

Yotes are currently 22 million under cap. Id do Spooner for him.

Duclair's name is out there as well. Maybe this is what Sweeney was referring to a few days back: http://www.csnne.com/boston-celtics/haggerty-sweeney-bruins-opt-patient-mode-free-agency-opens

There’s a couple of areas that we have been looking at and to continue to add to the depth and improve the club. I’ve certainly been in a lot of trade conversations with clubs looking at our prospects and swapping in that manner, so I’ll continue to do that. That doesn’t necessarily happen today or tomorrow; that can happen throughout, and it happens and players have changed teams.â€Â

Maybe getting prospects that fit better on the Bruins or potentially acquiring those prospects to move them or others already in the organization in a different deal?

Arizona moving Dvorak sounds like madness, but they're insanely deep at C (Stepan, Strome, Keller, Bolland, Domi, Cousins and Dvorak) at LW (Domi, Reider, McGinn, Duclair, Crouse, Perlini, Cousins and Dvorak). They're set D too.
If they're weak anywhere, it's at RW and G.

They must want a top legit RW or G etc

I certainly hope it isn't Pasta, but if it is, I want Dvorak and Chychrun in it somehow.

Wouldn't he cost a hell of a lot more than Ryan Spooner?

Or were you just being sarcastic? I'd deal Spooner for almost any current NHL player not named Jimmy Hayes. Or Ryan Spooner.

Pastrnak? I admit don't know much about Dvorak but if Pastrnak is even being discussed going to Arizona it better be Ekman-Larsson landing in Logan Airport

The Coyotes won't. It will take more than Spooner to pry Dvorak loose from Phoenix.

Yes.

I didnt mean straight up and should have been clearer. It will take more. But Id sure try to have him as part of the package.

I understand that sentiment, but if that was the case, it would be OEL's name being floated around, not Dvorak's.

Only way I see Pasta involved, and I hope not, would be he and his agent have gone nuts over the recent signings around the league.

This is my concern too. What's that saying you always say Wally....

Unless they thought they could move Backes and his $$. Or Krejci and $7+.

On one hand I think they love Backes' character. On the other, production matters and I'm not sure he brings $6m worth of it.

I refuse to believe they'd let another young talented player go so early. Two might be coincidence but three is a pattern.

And like ranold said, if they are considering moving Pasta, we better be after OEL. And then it's time to move Krug+ to get the forward back somehow. In other words, it's a vicious cycle. So I don't think there's any way Pasta could be involved.

The Coyotes don't need either guy. They're deep at C and LW.

They are also below the Cap floor with only Duclair and Martinook to sign. Spooner would not look bad as their 3rd line C and on their PP. He's more proven than some of their young guys and they could start them on the wing to get their feet wet.

He will likely get around $3m from arbitration, which would get them above the floor with a little wiggle room.
