Great coach, hopefully he is in the right place mentally to keep his sobriety thing going. He will find a new job soon enough. As for the broons, their management was so afraid of Florida that they have built a Frankenstein team with big bodies and small rats.

Will miss him as a person. Really like his personality and he has an amazing story. Should be picked up by someone really quick.

Not sure why we've struggled so much to start the season but if you were to rank the reasons why we haven't had playoff success, and why we've started so poorly, not sure Monty is high on that list for me.

Like people have mentioned, great guy and everyone wishes him the best, but the dude absolutely panics and melts down in the postseason. He just about single-handedly cost them the 2023 first round series after the record setting regular season with one of the worst anxiety attacks of a coaching display I've ever seen in the NHL.

With the way this year started where his magic of squeezing the most out of his roster seemingly ran out, and the fact that the veteran core of this team is underperforming and discombobulated, the firing was well deserved.

As for Sacco, either they get the new coach bump and get back in it or they give up and bottom out for a draft pick. Either way is better than what they've been doing.

They were going to fall off eventually. Can't really say its Jim's fault; injuries haven't helped either.

I'm still stunned that Lindholm got the bag that he did after last season. He was absolutely atrocious last season. Calgary was better once he was off the roster (it was the Hanifin and Tanev trades that did us in down the stretch). Sans those two other trades I mentioned, I think Calgary had a chance to make a run for the playoffs w/o his presence on the roster. Ik his playoff run with Van was decent, but he really didn't earn himself a big payday. Never thought I'd be saying all of that after my thoughts about him in his prime, but Boston effed up.

Clean house! Fire Bob Essensa too!

(Not because he actually should be fired - but because I want one of my teams to hire him and pay him handsomely!)
