Without Rask's play in net the Bruins are lucky to get 3 out of 6 pts this stretch. He's been amazing 5 of his last 6. No matter what happens tomorrow they beat TB in regulation on Tuesday I think they get in.

Didn't get to see this one, 2 pts, great! Glad Tuukka's looking good. On to the next one.

I felt like Thornton earned that 3rd star with that Emelin comment ;)

One of those scary hockey players, who reminds me of how hockey used to be and how i used to think about hockey players in general back in the day.

Miss him too, great guy.

I feel like hes the only optiob right now. Cehlarik is injured, Vatrano is injured, Czarnik is a natural C, DeBrusk has made strides all season and is on a bit of a production streak, why not bring him up? Give him a look. They could always turn to Heinen but I doubt that. Kuraly maybe?

I agree with this, if Cehlarik is hurt then DeBrusk is who they should bring up, Kuraly is kind of redundant right now we have Acciari playing well so go with him. Czarnik, sorry but don't see this guy as anything more than a career AHler or 4th line type. Heinen needs to stay in the AHL for the full season. Would like to see Bjork at some point. Also hope Vatrano gets back healthy for the playoffs, for some reason he sort of reminds me of Michael Ryder, does not seem to be noticed a lot, but always has the big shot.

The team had no issues scoring towards the end of Claude.

No one said anything else you've said.

Big win, Rask has been huge since waking up.

Eh not gonna bother arguing about the Bruins troubled offense under Clode. I watched enough 1-2 goal games by the Bruins in the first half of the season to know it was an issue. We would out shoot opponents and dominate periods and have nothing to show for it. It was an issue for most of this season.

If you want, and I don't advise, you can go back in the archives of the Clode threads and find pages and pages of those EXACT excuses being made for him.

I've been alright with how Cassidy has done so far. Dont love everything he does but the team looks better to me. Glad they came around.

The first half of the season I read all about how no other coach could get more out of such a weak roster than Clode. There were no better coaching options out there than Clode. If only Sweeney would get Clode the horses we could get more out of the team.

We were having trouble creating offense and beating the teams under us with Clode. Glad that has changed too.

ok enough Clode haha just thought I'd respond to all the sarcastic "fire Clode"s after that terrible 3rd period.

Wasnt pretty but the guys buckled down and finished the job. Keep it goin!!!!

Fluto just tweeted that the Bruins are calling up a forward from Providence... Really hope they call up Debrusk, I haven't really seen him play yet. Can't be worse than Hayes.

Can't do Debrusk to replace Hayes, he might actually contribute and.....skate.....

I doubt DeBrusk will since he is a LW and Hayes is RW but why not. Szwarz is the PBruins top scorer and a RW so could see that happening.

Frankie needs to get better at finding the soft spots to get it off, and start working harder defensively, hes so bad at floating around now, gets knocked over too easy and is weak on the boards. Its all good to have the big shot but its useless if you arent getting it off in good spots, and hes been pretty poor away from the puck too. If he was on the off wing on the PP and getting fed pucks his goal numbers would go way up. He needs to be put in position to succeed, him with Spooner is useless. But hes not good enough to be with Krejci so its hard. We need a 3rd line C cos at the moment we dont have one.

DeBrusk can go on the left and Stafford can go back to the right, means Beleskey will probably go up to Krejci but id rather try DeBrusk there over Beleskey. Bit of pressure though to be put on Krejci's line your first game but I wouldnt be against it. I guess whoever gets called up wont be playing tonight right? Watch for the scratches.

Anyone else picture Sweeney on the phone with JFK right now? Here is his pitch: "Hey JFK how are you? You know how you mentioned wanting to go straight to the NHL.....How does a stint at RW sound to you? Can you be in Chicago uhm now? You will be replacing Hayes, so basically only have to put your jersey on, and skate around kind of lost during your shifts. If for some reason the puck goes near you, freak out and give it to the nearest guy with a different jersey. Sound good? great!"

Well, Stafford is a RW that played LW tonight, so the open spot is really at LW.

Tuukka Rask is hot.

The Bruins’ No. 1 goalie turned back 24 shots, including all 13 in the third period, to backstop his team to a 5-2 win over the Florida Panthers on Saturday afternoon at TD Garden. It was the Bruins’ fourth straight win. Rask has earned three of them after being in net for four straight losses.

“He was terrific,†coach Bruce Cassidy said. “They certainly came with the intent of getting the tying goal and pushed hard. We bent, certainly, but didn’t break. Tuukka made some good stops. We were able to limit any second-chance opportunities, which is important, and odd-man rushes.â€

Yes, Krejci was particularly poor today. But considering his recent problems with wide open nets, I was very happy that he hit this one.

Happy he scored but his shot was going wide this time as well  Berra and/or Yandle actually deflected it into the net when trying to save it

One thing I thought was very positive was seeing Bergy moving better than he's moved all season. He seemed like he was all over the place. Not that he hasn't been moving well lately, but today it seemed like he was in an extra gear.

He had some monster shifts, especially the one on his first goal.

That's what I thought too! I was waiting for somebody else to mention it in case I was seeing things.
Makes up for the bad passes and bad puck management on the Cats first goal. He seems to be a little more engaged lately, maybe he thinks their already in the playoffs!

I think Tampa is done tonight if they don't beat the Habs .

Tampa would definitely be in trouble of not making the playoffs if they were to lose tonight, but I wouldn't totally count them out, and the red-hot Hurricanes are another team I wouldn't count out just yet either, although they are losing 1-0 to Dallas in the 3rd period.

...let's hope the habs and Stars can both hang on for wins tonight.

Just seconds after saying I hoped the habs win tonight, I feel a bit nauseous.
