8 Mill gets bailed out by his teammates.

He had a rough start with two quick ones though just one is to blame mr eight mil', he rebounded well and zooned in and out went the Bs. Gotta say though he should never leave his crease.

Zib had have couple of quiet games now even before blaze hot Kreider scored before he had neck spasm with a lovely pass from Ryan Mc. It`s obvious who carried that line and it was Kreider. Although I hope Zib will get his game going again since his very good preseason and beginning of this season.
And Zuci went quiet too last game - I didn`t see major of the 3rd period, because it was too late for me with 8 pm starts. And Miller have little to no confidence at the moment with his finishing.

I think AV need to try a differnet line combination to be honest - it`s not good chemistry for what I`ve seen with Zib & Miller at the moment.

We were warned about this from Sens fans, in regards to Zibby being streaky/prone to hot start and then going a bit quiet.

I agree though, getting Kreider back will be good. They had great chemistry.

But credits to Boston as well - they did a very good job to neutralize Zuci last game - so he didn`t get into his normal positions in O zone which he usually thrives.

Miller was all over the place, could have had a few goals easily. Gonna have an impact if he gets dealt.

Yes, Miller had some great chances for sure last night, and he used his speed which is great. So Miller will get his game going eventually maybe even next game
with some more puck luck. Their goalie had couple of really good saves on his finishing.

And both goals were the result of TOs by the defense.
Agreed.

I will say this. This start feels different than last year. Last year, most clear headed fans knew that the results were largely based on smoke and mirrors as Henke's play was the sole reason for the good record. This year's start feels a lot different. Largely the play has been good and Henke does not have the team on his shoulders. BUT....there are items to pay attention to like the slow starts and the defensive gaffes. Those do need to be addressed for the team to continue to have solid play.

Also, I said this last year and will say it again this year. Trading any of Hayes, Miller or Krieder will be a blatant act of stupidity.

Agree. This team seems so much different. They look re-energized. It is amazing what some youth will do.

I agree with you on the whole of this season looking vastly different and better than last year. As far as the bolded goes, Hockey is a game of mistakes and sometimes teams force you into making them. The Klein giveaway to me is questionable whether he was pressured into that turnover or not, would have to watch it again. However the Holden read to open the game was an absolute howler. Even if he read that as a 3 on 2 there is no reason at all to slide all the way over and double the puck to allow a streaking Pasternak in behind him. Horrendous read. 100% mental error, not physical. Plays like that get players benched, and his ice time reflected that, only getting ~14 min.

Lundqvist was back to normal after the first period. "Bailed out by his teammates" is weak.

Oh please. The only decent chances Boston had over the last 2 periods were after he stupidly left the crease and lost the puck. Yes, back to normal. Back to stopping easy shots as that is all he can handle.

I have to be honest I'm pretty shocked Miller has 6 in 7

I didn't believe this when I read it, and I still don't believe it after I looked it up. Had absolutely no idea that he had 6 in 7, just like I didn't think Stepan had 5 in 7.

IMO, Stepan's been playing the best hockey of his career, maybe except for the lockout season. He's been driving play at both ends of the ice, and the only thing he hasn't done yet is score a goal.

Vesey-Stepan-Nash has been such a good two-way line.

Agreed 100% about Stepan.

The more that I see him, the more I continue to see him as what he has been his entire career. Effectively a bottom third defenseman. And I know that this is a dead horse, but do not see how he can just completely make McILrath obsolete.

At this point. I'm inclined to agree. I have speculated this elsewhere, but, the player that seems to not fit right now is Zucc. Zib was better with Kreider and Buch. Vesey/Step//Nash looks great. And both Hayes and Miller keep looking better and better. at the risk of raising the ire of his fans, it might in the best long term interest of this team if Zucc is the forward that gets moved. He likely has the most value, and while getting Nash's salary off the books would certainly be a bigger benefit capwise, the Rangers wouldn't have to retain any money. I really don't want Miller to be moved.

if a goalie stops 27 of 29 he had a great game end of story. it doesn't matter if the 2 goals came on the 1st 2 shots, the last 2 shots or somewhere in the middle.

I'm glad someone else said this.

I think Zuccarello has been wildly unimpressive.
