I remember a rumour from 2003 that we were going to get Jeff O'Neill - i was thrilled because even at that time i knew if the Sedins had a legit talent like that at RW we would actually have a second line complimenting the WCE.

Burkie never mustered uo the balls and got it done - something all of GM's suffer with sadly.

Shocking that these things happen when the GM questions your effort, desire and team togetherness and the coach slams leadership. The coaching staff is in full panic mode and the management is entering it.

The defense was fine, we just needed a better scoring threat on the second/third line

Ohlund and Jovo were studs absolutely, the others left a lot to be desired, but were decent. Goaltending was brutal - everyone knew they were another scoring threat up front and a good goalie away from even thinking about contending.

One of them mentioned WD's seemingly inability to make on the fly changes..

IE... getting the Sedins out on a match up that doesn't involve Zdeno Chara.

So far, I haven't noticed the Sedins being on the ice sans Chara.

It really says something, they are usually pretty happy at stomping down at us. You know things are bad when they don't even want to do that anymore.
