3 D will be protected. Krug and Chara are no brainers. Last slot goes to one of Kevan, Colin, McQuaid.

Kevan has most certainly earned that spot.

Wouldn't mind them paying Vegas a pick to take McQ or even Beleskey. There's a bunch of defenseman projected to be available. Hope that both Millers can stay. I still think it'd be really hard to leave C. Miller unprotected with his potential.

Heck, J. Morrow could be taken. Imagine that!

Agreed. Kmiller has been a completely different player this year, especially in the second half.

For game 6, the kid line should be: Kuraly, Acciari, and call up Blidh! Play 'em right behind the first line.:yo:

Great Character win by the Bruins in this game, I am happy they won, but still fuming at how our team gets screwed over so much. First that BS OT penalty in game 3 and then tonight, we had to kill off 2 penalties at the end of the third. The first goal was not goalie interference , Kuraly just tried to jump out of the way, guaranteed if Ottawa, Montreal or Toronto had scored like that it would have counted. Then the obvious hand on the puck in the crease, I mean can the NHL show anymore blatantly they are against the Bruins? To top it off on HNIC Friedman, Kypreos and all said the goal should have counted, except Ron Mclean who would not let up that he thought Kuraly pushed Anderson with his stick and was a no goal, he would not let it go like a dog on a bone. I use to respect McLean a lot, but now put him in the same category with Healy, Millen and Cole. All this said even with Krejci out again, all the D missing and fighting against the refs as well we still pulled it out, two more wins and we come back from 3-1 down for the first time, it's time for the Bruins to win a series like this.

Joe Morrow was very good tonight. I like his agility. He controls the puck on both sides of the stick pretty well while moving quick. If he can keep his coverage tight...

I know he isnt perfect at this point but..just wanna say how great it is watching Chara still. I am really gonna be sad when Chara era is over.

These are some great games at this stage in his career, and seeing the real beginning of a transition to youth on the defense...there will be a huge opening to fill once Chara retires.

So yea...really gonna try and savoir and appreciate getting to still watch a legend play. Realistically we only have a little time left :(

Agree. I love Chara, and hope he retires as a Bruin. Sadly, we know that time is not too far off. For now, I am just going to appreciate every game that he plays in the Spoked B. We truly do not realize how lucky and blessed we have been to have him here in Boston. :handclap:

Thanks, that's what I was thinking. And I agree, K. Miller has earned that spot.

I don't want to lose the other guys, and with all the other unprotected D from other teams, perhaps we won't? I don't know if McPhee would go after McQuaid, especially with his injury history. (At least I hope not!)

Reminds me a bit of Krug-lite. He definitely has some serious coverage lapses at times, but made some really heady plays in the offensive zone tonight. D. Moore just didn't cover for him on the first breakaway.

Difference between those that want to be there vs those that dont have their head in the game.

Look at the cele between Kuraly, Vatrano, McAvoy (almost every time ), acciari

then look at Marchand

Love seeing the kids super pumped and happy after each goal. Jumping up and down.

Wow. I thought he was terrible. Fell down at least 3 times allowing forwards to blow by him. Gave the puck away at a few critical times as well. I guess maybe he was somewhere in between.

Marchand is due another 5 point game. Coming up in game 6. ;)
Seriously hope he starts getting going. Assist today was a start.

I have a feeling that the Bruins may have gotten an extra boost of confidence from this big win tonight, and after the OT goal (the one that finally counted by Kuraly), the dejected look on some of the Sens faces was priceless.

I wouldn't be surprised if this momentum carries over into the next game, and we beat the Sens by 2 or 3 goals, and then steal game 7 in Ottawa.

With Gallant as coach I think they may take Mcquaid, a fellow Islander. Plus Mcquaid, a bonafide knuckle thrower would be appealing to Vegas fans. I don't love losing the guy either, but I could get over it. I like McQuaid, a true warrior, but Killer has over taken him on the depth chart....

Agreed, Morrow scares me when he's on the ice. He's a great fast skater and that's about it. Lacks the hockey Sense to be able to compete with NHL forwards.

The Seguin trade still pisses me off considering Morrow is all that's left to show for while Seguin is a point per game player.

Love it!!!

EDIT: The 98.5/Beers one is even better!

just got back from the game

OH MY GOD

First period it was SO loud in there. Only time I'd heard it that loud before was Sens v Ducks for the finals, and a few series vs the leafs. By the 3rd it was QUIET.

First few periods the Bruins had so much trouble keeping pucks in the offensive zone. So many pucks rolled over D's sticks on that pass around. Then I found that stopped happening late in the game. I also thought they were breaking the trap way more effectively in OT. Short little passes because the Sens neutral zone guys had lost a step.

Anyway I couldn't be happier that Cassidy figured out that it's time to go lunch pail gang on them. They hit more than maybe all year it felt. Was such a character win. Refs looked terrible live, sounds like it was worse than we even saw there.

Excellent reference- Lunch Pail Gang so apt
