Since Neely has been the Bruins president, they have a winning percentage of .640 in the regular season (2nd only to Pittsburgh's .644).

In the playoffs, .547. 5th behind Colorado, Tampa, Vegas and Chicago.

Someone must be doing a hell of a job to be making up for Cam's incompetence.
Yep and their names are (and were) Pastarnak ,Bergeron Krejci, Marchand Krug, Rask and McAvoy. Cam had very little to do with any of those players being acquired. On the other hand, his hand, in acquiring, and then continually pushing, the disgusting Nick Ritchie was obvious.

The first thing the Bruins did after hiring Chiarelli was to sign Chara & Savard. So how toxic was it?

This was well documented, it's common knowledge... Chara was impressed by many Bruins calling him personally telling him and Savard that a new front office with a different mentality and a more up to date friendly approach to players from the new management. Google it...

Little to do with the good acquisitions.

But pushing for Nick Ritchie, that was the killer.

Fire the bum.

Its not a matter of like or dislike.

Just because you dislike the guy doesn't mean you have to consider everything that goes wrong his fault.
I do not. As I said, you can trace the Ritchie Brothers and Rinaldo back to him. Belesky hard to tell, but fair to assume. Pushing Nick Ritchie long after it was apparent he was slow, fat and dumb shows he does not learn one iota from his mistakes. That is the worst thing of all.

It also might interest you to know that I greatly respected Sinden's acumen, but disliked him for his financial conflict of interest and continuously lying to players, saying he was going to acquire star player x just to wring a few more wins from them.

Both Ritchie and Rinaldo only had one season in Boston. Ritchie's was his career best offensive season. Its not like they were signed for 3 seasons and they couldn't get rid of them.

Ritchie has played for two different teams and Rinaldo three since they were let go. So other GMs have taken shots with them.

Its not like either move was crushing to the franchise. Especially since nearly everyone was clamoring for toughness when these guys were acquired.

As I posted in the first thread I was no fan of Bruce Cassidy. I'm glad he's gone. I hated his soft, passive approach to the game. Hopefully the next Bruins coach will promote a more aggressive style of play.

That said, I am also no fan of Neely & Sweeney. I get they weren't and aren't about to resign because of their many screw ups. However the firing of the head coach, while a tried & true method of front offices everywhere attempting to cover up their failures, in this instance is such a blatant scapegoating that nobody can not see it for what it is and not call the front office out over it unless they are being willfully blind to the reality of the situation.

If doing that makes Cassidy look like an angel when compared to Neely & Sweeney well that's too bad for Neely & Sweeney. They've had this coming for a very long time.

Plus it comes out Neely told him knock it off and yet he still did it
Exactly that happened to Neely when Kasper benched him I know people hate him but he’s old school like that leave the calling out in the locker room.

Although Cassidy ranks third all time in a 6 year run with a .650 or a one winning % behind only Bowman & Sather he never won

He also had a star studded roster of HOF caliber players

I’ll take Claude over him

Plus I like that players mostly loved Clsude and no one ripped him

The lineup Claude had to play WC at Foxboro against Montreal would have got swept by Seattle

He also won a Cup

That's on Neely molly coddling the young players who never accomplished shit and undercutting the coach. As for Krejci and Bergeron, I think they said nothing because they are frustrated with more than just Cassidy. They are pissed off at the GM and the head of hockey operations. At least that is what I am understanding from people like Raycroft and Fluto. If Krejci and Bergeron aided in this undercutting, then they are just as culpable as Neely and Sweeney for f***ing this team up.

Ah yes...the HOF caliber line up consisting of *looking at list*

Tomas Nosek
Erik Haula
Mike Reilly
Matt Grzelyck
Rick Nash on fumes
Brandon Carlo
Matt Belesky
Nick Ritchie
Brett Ritchie
Ondrej Kase
John Moore
Trent Frederic
Jake DeBrusk
Anton Blidh
Oskar Steen
Anders Bjork
Karson Kuhlman
Peter Cehlarik
Urho Vaakanainen
and so on?

Yeah...real star studded line up the B's had there.

Stop it. Stop making excuses for Sweeney being a worthless f*** up of a GM who sabotaged his coach and this team for years to come.
