All good - didn't think it was. Just restating why I took notice of the comments made.

Clearly Vegas are happy with what they have in Bruce and good luck to them. They've been pretty ruthless about chasing some silverware and perhaps this is their best chance. They certainly won't want to lose to DeBoer.
My kid lives in Austin and her and BF go to Stars games - had Bruins met them I would have gone to game or games so irritated

Not a Cassidy guy as well

Dallas & Florida what I’m rooting for

I like the Stars. They play good solid hockey, seem to have a good fanbase, and as I've said here before I'm a big Pavelski fan. I don't really mind who prevails between them and the Knights, just hope it's a fun, hard-fought series. The longer the better.

Neely really has to go. Loved him has a player but I despise him has a team president. Stephane Waite (a personnal good friend of Cassidy) said on the radio that it wasn't the love between Neely and Cassidy. He also said he didn't really like Julien.

With this news, I seriously doubt Trotz would want to come coach here.. Neely will prolly try and find a puppet he'll be able to control. Have to wonder how tied Sweeney's hands are too with Neely as ur boss.
Here we go, he found JM just to make the players happy.

I still say the beginning of the end for Bruce was Chara's departure. I think he was really the bridge/buffer between Cassidy and the players. After that, things start to unravel.

Problem with coaches and shelf-life is the number of tools in your toolbox to push/motivate players is finite. There are only so many ways to go about it. And every player is different. After enough time passes, these motivational tools start to become less and less impactful to the player, to the point where they don't want to hear it anymore from this particular person (the head coach).

Although I did chuckle at a comment Cassidy made during a media appearance about why Vegas are successful. He basically talked about not relying on just one line, and how he has basically 3 lines of paired skaters and mix-and-match the 3rd guy. Where was that back in 2019 when the Blues put the clamps down on the Bergeron line?
He wouldn't dare act the way he did in that room after Chara when Zee was there, from a respect standpoint, He was the guy that kept it all together.

It’s his first year. All good right now. We’ll see how it goes. Good for him. It’s like the loser Toronto fans area around here lately. The guy had to go, his time was up. He didn’t get it done here. What are we talking about? Move on….

I'm rooting for Carolina and Vegas.

Of course Vegas blew a lead with less than 2 minutes to go in regulation. But they did win in OT.

Florida & Carolina looks like a real dogfight.

I'd say having a bona-fide elite #1 offensive center is the catalyst for Vegas, more than Cassidy.

Bruins relied on two old centers that couldn't stay healthy. Eichel is at a point per game place and was their missing piece. This is the same team that went to the conference finals not too long ago....
