We have a tremendous opportunity to bank a lot wins/points from now through Christmas.

I’d really like to sweep the weekend. Especially with how we’ve come up short against Columbus the last time and San Jose and Washington twice.

Washington is a bottom feeder masquerading as a playoff team right now.

Oh, and don’t forget St. Louis. Another cream of the crap team we struck out against.

Well it's time that changed.

Law of averages and all that.

Devils are due to beat the Craps, the Blue-smurfs, and the Not-quite-from-NY-Jets.

We never really beat Boston either in the last decade or so, other than the COVID year where we somehow beat them five times. The last other win I remember over them was the wild late PP goal surge with Zidlicky and company

The John Hynes Devils seemed to always beat Boston and then suck against most of the other teams.

Ruff is so mysterious lol. Got asked if Nemec would stick around and he was like “we’ll take it game by game” lmfao. Kid has probably been our best D-man since being called up. He looks great.

Future is bright with Luke and him for years to come.

Tuned in about 30 seconds before the OT goal, so, yay.

Watching highlights:

1. Are JVR and Shantenkirk still a thing? What year is this?

2. Did dicknose, excuse me, Captain Dicknose play? Did he do anything stupid?

3. How about JBo? How was his tribute video? 5 seconds long?

watching the highlights and when pasta dangled around Nemec and vitek got praise for the save. This is where Nemec saved it and helped out and showed some good recovery.

Vitek was giving up a lot of net to shoot at still and if Nemec doesn’t get his stick there, with how vitek was sliding over and swimming like he can, that probably goes in.

Gotta give Lindy some credit here. It looks like the are playing more solid in the d zone. It’s coming at the cost of offense, but honestly I’m ok with that. These guys need to learn how to play D and find that balance.

There’s still a lot to be improved, but it feels pretty darn good to get a nice low scoring win against a top team for a change.

It was a close game. The Devils got better as the fame went along. Boston missing McCavoy and Zacha and us being rested for 3 days...this is the kind of game we have to win if we expect to be a good team come April. Nice to see Hughes snap his drought and Bratt stay hot. Also low scoring games are still fun and it seems we've been getting better at them a bit the last few weeks. If we can get Meier and Toffoli to heat up again I think we will really start to take off. I love a good low scoring game here and there. These are the kind of wins where the little things really stand out. Also good to Vitek get another win and have a good game in goal.

Good win by the Devils. Giving up one goal warms my heart. Jack on the winner looked like he said to himself no big deal. One point in 4 games. I must be better. That’s the vibe I got from him. That’s why he’s a superstar

I don't know why people say this about St. Louis - we've definitely lost to them a bunch in recent years, but the Devils put up 14 goals against them in 2021-22.

thats the type of 3on3 the nhl wants and the fans want. there was a sequence there when nico was circling in the the zone and he came back to the line but he stayed in the zone and what do you know? drove to the net and got a great scoring chance. none of that stupid puck ragging leaving the zone to regroup.

Awesome game, so great to finally beat these guys. Jack is just so much fun to watch in ot.

Side note, I didn't sit in the club seats but had free access to the clubs to eat last night, the food is just so meh, the options were rather limited and the quality was really meh. I can't imagine actually paying to ever sit there and I have no idea how anyone justifies paying to sit there every game.

Btw a nice assist by Holtz on our game tying goal. He made that play by fighting his way for the puck behind the net. He’s being physically aggressive on the forecheck and that wasn’t something I expected of him before the season.

Also regarding Nemec. Anyone else think he reminds them of Nic Lidstrom? The way he’s built and his way of moving and his instinct for where to go on the ice kind of recall him for me. Even though Nemec shoots right.
