The "feeling" I had was based on traditional trajectories of prospects, Varhaeghe does not have a traditional trajectory, and he put up far better numbers in the AHL than Brooks, they aren't really close, that is why I don't see the connection.
There is more statistical evidence that Amadio is on a trajectory close to Verhaeghe, that is all I am saying.
I don't think Brooks is bad, and I think he can be a serviceable NHL player, I just think when you look at what Amadio brings and what Brooks brings, it is kind of easy to see why Brooks was put on waivers. Someone needed to go on waivers, I think they made the right choice.
