Seems like a Habby thing to do. I wish we would have taken Alex Barre-Boulet but Seattle took him.

I wonder if they play him in the season opener? Brooks having an outstanding showing against us to start the season would be a habby thing to do.

Eh, best of luck to Adam Brooks. But next time Bergevin tries to sneak a knuckle dragger through waivers, I'm claiming him and letting him loose on Suzuki and Caufield just for the revenge factor.

At some point in the near future (maybe month), I wouldn't be shocked to see him back on waivers.

I'm sure they will find some space for Hoffman and/or Byron when they're fully healthy and I think Brooks would be the odd man out with the amount invested that they have in Poehling.

Brooks still has some upside and on a reasonable term. Also he's not that old. A lot of late bloomers are appearing in the NHL

Didn't like him being on waivers over some other guys or some guys are getting FA preferential treatment

Good kid. Hope it works out for him

Wouldn't surprise me if he outscores and outlasts Simmonds in NHL this year

Semyonov, Robertson, SDA, Steeves, Anderson, Gogolev, Abramov and Ho-Sang… The Marlies ain’t hurting much by the loss of Brooks either.

You mean Brooks was put on waivers for the YOUNGER Mike Amadio?

We kinda did the same thing though.....we went through the dumpsters in Kanata for Amadio.

Just sayin'! :dunno:
We signed him as a FA, and if he was on waivers would definitely get claimed. I liked brooks as well, but too many guys that are either younger bigger faster or more skilled have passed him on the depth chart.
Glad to see Brooksie get a fresh start

Brooks would have made the Marlies stronger for sure, probably would have been their #1C.

It’s unfortunate to see him go, but that’s part of the waivers game, to give these guys an opportunity. Best of luck to him. We’ve lost marginal depth, but that’s all.

He was never going to be anything more than a fourth liner. To be fair, Amadio likely won’t either.
