You wouldn't blame Swedish players for this kind of effort? lol. This explains everything. Stupid thing to say.
It's great to win a bronze medal, don't try to downplay it.Always better to end the tournament after a win and with a medal. Everyone who will try to search for history of this tournament will see that USA won bronze this year and that's it.
Congrats USA! Swedish players should feel terrbile and ashmed of themselves.

Not only will the Swedes go home disappointed with no gold, they also get to add shame, embarrassment and nothing to that disappointment. Good job making it easier on yourselves! You've shown lots of team character. 
Well let's look it a bit further. As former player I know that it is nice to have medal even bronze. When you take a medal out of the showcase you can remember what have you done to earn it. You feel proud. Loss like this is embarrassing and you will never forget it even if you try.

Yep but i mean guys (?) m4tti45 (or whatever it was) crying over the refs and then turning it onto finns here and then he gets the "sore loser" posts back.
Just makes me wonder that does those guys even watch the games. In Malmö Finland struggled thru 5x worse reffing and managed to win the gold. Sweden had three shots in the last period yesterday when they should've come hard on us. Just blows my mind that are those members lying to themselves or are they just blind.
I personally have nothing against Sweden, tho always there's a hot rivalry there.

Bit of a lackluster of a game. But these bronze games usually are pretty tame.
Nice goalscoring from the yanks. Too bad that Sweden didn't get their energy up all game long, but these things happen. Especially with young guys who just faced a huge disappointment.
Congratulations USA for the bronze! Two great teams faced each other and the lack of emotions in that game doesn't take away the fact that both Sweden and USA had strong teams.

I think the U.S. had a very good tournament all things considered. You rue the lack of production in the semi against Russia, but by and large the team did well.
First of all congratulations to US for a well-deserved win 
Secondly, people who are saying "this was just a bronze game" as a defense for the Swedish effort couldn't be more wrong. That's why they don't have the winning mentality and tend to fail in big games, if you have the right mentality you want to win a bronze game as well, which the US team showed today, even if they were as disappointed as the Swedes.

Yes, I would definitely expect players from my country to play their ass for any medal in the World Championship. And if they don't play that way then there is something wrong. Of couse, they are disappointed but It is not an excuse to play like that, when bronze medal is still on the table.
I am not telling you how you should feel. If you don't care about it, then it's okay. But again, here you did it. Calling bronze medal game "lousy", it's really unnecessary and just pathetic try of downplaying.

If I actually did go to the local IKEA (Tempe, Arizona) and started trying to make fun of them over the game I'd be surprised if any of the employees would have even the vaguest idea what I was talking about.

There's basically nothing Swedish with IKEA anymore, even though it's promoted that way. The food is produced in some eastern european countries with cheap quality, the factories are with cheap labour in Asia, the owner lives in Switzerland and the company cheats taxes like any other major corporation and pays them in Holland or something like that.My friend just texted me about the game, "let's go taunt IKEA"

You are missing my point of this discussion. I am not telling you that you are wrong or something like that. It's your opinion that you don't care about it, I respect it.
But it's kind of different thing when you call it with words like "lousy" etc. At this point you are not showing your opinion but you are showing your disrespect towards bronze medal game which is really inappropiate and pretty pathetic.

I was obviously talking about my POV, I wasn't at all saying that everyone must feel the same way I do.
I still fail to see what is cocky about being dissapointed that team Sweden can't play for gold and thinking that 3rd or 4th place doesn't matter much?
