As a Leafs fan I'm not pissed that the Oilers won the lottery.

But I sure am pissed at the league for even having a stupid lottery.

Eichel very well could have saved the Coyotes.

And 3-0 for USA:handclap:

I'm suspicious of that whole lottery draw thing. They do the draw in secret than just show the public the results.

So the USA wants to win bronze and Czech do not care? That's the explanation right?

What the hell is that whistling/squealing noise?

It's Ruzicka after figuring out himself what he said in the interview when he was hired.

"My opinion is that the current team is now old. I like young boys, I believe that if given the chance, they can enforce. I wish we went through drastic modifications of roster"

it's a shame for Czech republic to be losing medal games without much fight....USA on the other hand is doing a great job: not only the players, but also the coaches.

Are you talking about the 3rd best PP in this tournament? Can't score on all of them.

But it´s now it counts! And that was just painful to see! Just passing around and fake shots! No determination and no killer instinct.

The US development program (not just the NTDP) is certainly proving they can produce hockey players as well as anyone. Very bright future for American hockey.

For the rest of us, be thankful they don't take hockey seriously.

Pretty sure all the players in the USHL and kids trying to get into the program take it serious.

That is the beauty of youth as this has been a problem in the past for the US in terms of bronze games. I think the makeup of this team meant you were going to get a full tilt effort in the bronze game.

The Bronze game in both the Olympics and Worlds usually has a no show... Really hard to see it out of the Czech team on home ice, honestly I thought they played well in the second period and could not finish, so not sure it is all effort though they were as flat as they could be in the first, so a hangover from their semifinal game seems to be a factor.

I am very pleased to say the least that this is not a repeat of the putrid USA team effort in the Olympic bronze game, they came to play and are skating hard and want this medal. I think that is important for the continued progress of USA hockey. The depth of the program is starting to surface and I think the attitude of getting a medal and playing every game with purpose needs to be established moving forward. It has been a problem in the past in my opinion so it is great to see them hammer down in the host country and play this hard.

Certainly I don't fault what seems to be a bit of a drop off in play for the Czech team. This is always going to be a tricky game, you were close to what you came for, but there should be motivation to win this game. I hate when any team throws in the towel on a Bronze game.
