I recall there was talk that Vince had to renegotiate with Brock because he had him doing so many extra days in the Mania leadup.

Didn't realize Brock was able to hold Vince's feet to the fire this badly.

I do wonder if this forces Vince's hand on making Brock finally job to someone.

That was a screwjob-ish finish though.

And Brock got the win back and has made everyone else not named Taker look like children.

The streak rub has lost some luster, but I blame that more on time than a screwy lose at Summerslam against Taker.

Someone does need to beat him soon, honestly they better hope Dana gives him someone he can wreck because if he gets beat badly at 200 it really destroys his aura back in WWE.

Edit: Reports that WWE is even going to help promote 200 on air. Jesus Brock HAS to win.

Boy... UFC was DESPERATE to get a UFC 200 card. I personally do not think it's smart for Lesnar to be fighting in one month. That training takes a long time, eh? For his health, I just don't think it's smart. His pockets though, I would LOVE to hear that deal.

Oh well. I don't think I've ever seen a guy get over on vince more than Lesnar. Pretty funny.

For all we know Lesnar has been training for months. He doesn't strike me as somebody who would just say "eh screw it, i'll jump into the octagon with little notice"

Given his sparse schedule he'd totally be able to train and still wrestle on the side.

The question is did he leave WWE high and dry or is this cross promotional? Given how desperate the UFC was for a McGregor replacement, i could see them cutting a deal along the lines "we'll let you have Lesnar for one if you let us have Rousey for one down the road"

if the clause in his contract is true, i doubt Brock has been doing anything other than planning for UFC 200 (or the MSG show) since WM was done.

The word is Brock started training immediately after WM 32

All words say that this is a one time deal that was built into Brock's restructured contract with WWE.

Also they are considering doing some cross-promotional work with mentions on RAW and SD.

Edit: Off of WWE's Website

"Brock Lesnar remains under contract to WWE, however, he has been granted a one-off opportunity to compete at UFC 200. Following this milestone event on July 9, Brock will return to WWE forSummerSlam on Sunday, August 21, live on WWE Network."

Vince really is the one holding the short end of the stick. If Brock gets hurt he could end up not working Summerslam, and if he loses his name loses a ton of selling power to WWE. If the plan was to feed Bray to him at Summerslam, that looks like **** if Brock already got beat at 200.

>F4W: "According to sources, Lesnar had an option put in his WWE contract that he could take a UFC bout prior to this year's WM"

I guess that answers my question.

Lol man Brock ****ing worked Vince on that contract extension.

"Lesnar's rumored opponent is Mark Hunt"

Mark Hunt. A Samoan descendant.

TFW this is all part of Vince's big plan to get more Samoans over.

Dana should hire Heyman to do some work for 200 as well. Could be entertaining as all hell.

I also feel bad for whomever Brock wrestles at Summerslam. He is going to be really good shape. Someone might be suplexed out of their shoes.

i'm loling so hard. WWE gets nothing out of this. They basically used this as a "please don't go" clause when Lesnar re-upped last year.

Lesnar held them hostage for more money, AND the chance to do something else while still under contract. Even more hilarious, he got both.

Amazing.

From all the intel I have seen around the net....it appears he got this negotiated before WM, so after WM, my guess is Brock probably started training and this has probably been in the works for a while. What will be interesting is will there be any cross promotion. I think WWE could really use the promotion from UFC for Summerslam, given their low ratings with men currently.

Ariel Helwani had his credentials taken away because he leaked the announcement. That's ridiculous.

Good job banning your sport's best reporter there, genius.

Welcome to 2016. **** leaks. Deal with it.

I don't know much about the UFC, but i know Ariel is about on par with a Dave Meltzer or Bob McKenzie in terms of sources and credibility. That's real dumb.
