i know he isn't highly touted, but i was impressed with his play. sure, small sampling, but i can't see them taking the chance. i agree that he is probably the bottom guy, but i'd be tempted to try and move 1 of Bailey or Clutterbuck (UFA at year's end). Bailey and Clutterbuck can both play RW, so it might leave a hole on the right side, but Quine could be a much cheaper alternative.

Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but what is the cheapest way to get Sound Tigers tickets?
I'm not going to buy them on Ticketmaster since the fee is 9.75 for a 25 ticket.... but are there any coupons for them?

It's not expensive to just buy tickets when you get to the arena. They never sell out, and there's obviously no fee when you're standing right in front of them. That's what I always do.

Call them directly

Thanks. I called the team and they immediately tried to sell me season tickets. I'm just going to show up and get them at the Box Office even if it means I have to pay $3 more per seat for a game day purchase.

If MDC plays the entire season in the AHL - would you say a safe prediction would be
similar to Lee or Nino's full year at Bridgeport
74 GP - 28 G - 22 A - 50 points
54 GP - 22 G - 19 A - 41 points

And Ho Sang putting up Strome type numbers in half a season @ bridgeport
37GP - 13G- 36A -49 Points

Look for a player good enough for AHL but not good enough for NHL as of now? Try Cody Hodgson who is still young enough to play decent hockey at the AHL level as he does have some good Hockey IQ and playing with smart raw players with skill like MDC and Ho Sang may help him and vice versa. Sign him to an one year AHL contract to play with MDC and Ho Sang and see what may happen. Maybe he will be motivated if he still have a bit of hope to try to return to the NHL one day. Have he go through medical and make sure his back is good before signing him to the AHL deal.

Didn't he retire?

Bport wins both pre-season games, outscoring opposition 8-1. after being part of the Memorial Cup winning Knights (as a 20 year old) Barisha has impressed the coaches. 5'10", 190 lbs., RHer.

side note: a quote... "Thompson said Bridgeport’s defensive game is “going to be a work in progress for everyone. It’s a new system. We’re trying to be a little more aggressive in the defensive zone.”

safe to assume that the Isles will be doing the same? i like it. their passivity, in all zones, last year was hard to watch. i am (was) a skater, and i never liked to be standing still. the faster pressure is applied, the better the chance of making the opposition make errors.

I'm going to the game this weekend. Anyone have a favorite place to eat near the train or arena?

There's a new place called beerport, five minute walk from the arena. I haven't been yet, but looks good if you like craft beer. They also serve either wood fired or brick oven pizza. It's always packed!

Gionta is not THAT old..I am sure he could have looked around for an NHL contract..cool though.this is excellent depth and he would defo be a solid call up if one of the guys goes down...which is comforting. I, at least feel at ease knowing that Gionta can fill a roll with no problems fitting in.
