For anyone who followed Bridgeport's games this season...what happened to Anatolii Golyshev in the month of November? After he scored his 5th goal of the season on November 5, he went the next 8 games without a goal and only had 2 assists in that span before he got called up to the Island? Was Golyshev a factor in any of those games or did he simply disappear after a hot start?

I only saw 1 BPT game this season, a 4-1 loss to Springfield. My impression of Golyshev that night was that he's game, willing to drive to any spot in the offensive zone, but he's really undersized. Smaller than Johnny Gaudreau. His lack of size hampers him in man on man defensive coverages. He couldn't move anyone from the slot when called upon.

I really liked Golyshev's willingness to play the game but I don't see him as anything but a fringe player.

Skating, he is a slow skater for a guy his size. He is willing participant in the games which he deserves credit for and gives him a shot to be fringe player but to me he isn’t fast enough to be a top six forward in NHL.

You think he was a behemoth in the K? Small players with success in the pros usually know how to deal with their size. I think he will be successful and hopefully he wil get a chance. If I had the choice between Wahlstrom and Goly, I'd pick Goly every time. Something about Wahlstrom's game that I don't think is there...can't put my finger on it...

No but in the K the rinks are larger, there aren’t as many skilled players, and his stats don’t suggest he was a scoring machine in Russia either.

I’d give Golyshev a look up here but I don’t have any great expectations for him.

I’m racking my brain for a comparable at NHL level for Golyshev and best I could come up with and this is sort of lofty for him to even get this level but maybe Victor Arvidsson.

I was thinking he's like a refined and more experienced Yamamoto

Living in NJ I don't get to see any Bridgeport games, how has Bolduc looked? Also interested in Holmstrom. Thanks,

IMO Holmstrom from last year to this is most improved player from last years AHL team. Bolduc has been ok, got hurt and missed camp and hasn’t had best start to year. He is raw prospect with a good amount of potential but is still going to be a while before he can contribute at NHL level.

I think we got to call him up, he's a player with speed and skill. And this fwd group sorely lacks speed and skill. If he has taken steps fwd this season. Then why not when Tomasino and McMichael picked just behind him are contributing in the NHL For me, I have seen enough of Parise. I like his effort, but his effort to results ratio is terrible. Right now we need effort and results.

Great to see some of the recent call ups hitting the score sheet over the weekend. Czarnick, Koivula twice, Andreoff and Hutton.

Dmen points don’t always mean much but seems pretty odd that Bolduc has 0 points in 16 games after his offensive breakout last season.

Strange season last year I know given COVID but has anyone seen him enough to comment?
