If Zajac is signed, MDC signs a two way deal, Bellows clears waivers, and No other D is signed.

here is the lineup
  1. Bellows - Koivula - Terry
  2. Komarov - Czarnik - Panik
  3. Holmstrom - Newkirk - Golyshev
  4. Dal Colle - Kubiak - Bardreau
  5. Adams - Maclean - Durandeau
  6. Jenkins - Bibeau - Coskey
    XF - Brown
I assume the first 5 lines and Brown will be with Bport and line 6 starts in ECHL.

Dal Colle getting a one way or two way deal doesn't impact anything. He also shouldn't be that low on the depth chart, he's got to be ahead of Komarov so he gets some ice time.

I mentioned two-way deal because that was rumored.
Sure, MDC - Leo swap is fine.

My guess is if Bellows and Panik are exposed they both will be selected.
If they are:
  1. Dal Colle - Koivula - Terry
  2. Golyshev - Czarnik - Holmstrom
  3. Adams - Newkirk - Komarov
  4. Brown - Kubiak - Bardreau
  5. Jenkins - Maclean - Durandeau
Extra F's: Bibeau - Coskey

The beginning of the season is always a crapshoot because teams don't really have roster space to pick anyone up and are trying to squeeze their own guys through. I wouldn't be shocked if either made it through waivers to start the season in Bridgeport, but at least with Bellows I could also see someone trying to make room for him because of his age.

Can't really see the bold being in BPort.

And I can't see Bellows making it through waivers. Just too much pedigree/promise for several teams out there.

If Lou exposes Bellows, I'd be shocked if he cleared. If that's his plan then one would think he'd just trade him.

I also don't see Johnston on anyone's AHL depth chart. Although I love his physicality, he is not a player that gets ice time on a Cup contender. He is a lower priority to be an extra NHL forward.

You don’t waive your enforcer.

Are you suggesting they all make the team or are picked up on waivers?

Agreed.

Matty Marts is a keeper. ;)

Btw Ross the Boss dressed for 12 games last season. We know his ceiling and he's not a starter on a winning team.

Even if you think nothing of Bellows, he's still worth a low to mid round pick and could be a chip in a multiplayer trade for a LHD.

Bellows will have more value once he passes Thru waivers. I do not think a team would be willing to make a deal right now because they would be tasked with having to pass him thru waivers. It has nothing to do with my opinion of him - it has more to do with the roster circumstances.

I’d also be more willing to waive Johnston if the Isles sign Chara.

Adjusted Line up with today's flurry of signings.
Here is the lineup
Forwards
  1. Andreoff- Koivula - Terry
  2. Bellows - Czarnik - Holmstrom
  3. Golyshev - Newkirk - Timashov
  4. Adams - Kubiak - Bardreau
  5. Jenkins - Maclean - Durandeau
*Brown- Bibeau - Coskey - ECHL bound?

Defense
  1. Salo - LaDue
  2. Bolduc - Hutton
  3. Vande Sompel - Wilde
  4. Wotherspoon - McCarthy (ECHL bound)
*Hickey - plays with Bridgeport - if he doesn't beat Gustafsson for a spot on the roster.

Now the team is looking like the overcrowded group we're used to seeing.

Must say, I didn't see the Bardreau signing coming. And I was "worried" that we'd let Timashov walk away... But Lou clearly likes him from his TOR days.

Now that LaDue, Andreoff, and Terry have been added, there's a certain amount of legitimacy when factoring in Czarnik and the re-uppings.

Wonder what that blueline will really look like? Has Vande Sompel recovered?

Of course, with all the players hanging around now, it really makes you wonder just what kind of role and ice time any of the B-level prospects are going to get.

In addition, I just can't imagine all these guys making it through waivers.
