The overtime was domination. Shocked we didn't give up a goal on the first shot against after 2 minutes of possession.

I’m not sure why he got 1st star, but he was good too. I didn’t list everyone I thought played well, just the 3 players who were the biggest impact on the comeback. Certainly appeared the OT winner is Nylander’s

For me Knies best asset is the fact that he wins board battles 90% of the time. We rarely see him in the defensive zone because he’s so good at keeping the puck in the offensive zone.

He’s a big player who goes the net, can play straight line hockey and competes for the puck. That checks a lot of boxes.

The D tonight was more than fine. TBL had like 4 shots in the first 15 or so minutes of the game. It wasn't even close 5 on 5.

I don't understand what people want from this team defensively. Every team has break downs and let's up chances. The difference is that good defensive teams have a good goaltender when they do break down. Rarely ever is it a perfect game with less than 20 shots. If Samsonov didn't have an ECHL level performance, we would be saying they were great defensively. They didn't let in a single goal after the goaltender change.

If any Leafs fan is upset with this game, I don't know what to say. They positively dominated this game.

Preseason and regular season combined Samsonov has looked the worst out of all Leaf goalies. Just hasn’t cleaned up his play style and doesn’t look very focused. His best game was probably Florida.

Have to say Kampf made a good non play pulling his stick away from the pass from Domi to Knies on the Leafs second goal.

Little things. When Domi slid the puck across to Knies for the Leafs 2nd goal, Kampf purposely let it go by and didn't touch it. Amazing heads-up play that reminds me of Lemieux lifting his skate and letting Kariya take the shot in the 2002 Olympics final.

Nice win. Samsonov luckily stepped up last year saving the disastrous Murray signing. He's no lock to repeat last years performance. And even if he is maybe that's not good enough to win it all. The Brick Woll? Who knows????
