DUMBEST move ever. WTF is MLSE thinking? What is rogers/bell thinking? Come on.... I can't wait to see Nonis rip this team apart trying to get Luongo, trading 2nds, 3rds and 4ths in the process of trying to make the playoffs. Soooooo Pejorative Slured.

I can't believe Colangelo outlasted Burke. This is the reason these teams will never win ****.

WHAT THE **** IS THIS ********! WORST ****ING TIMING EVER. ATLEAST GIVE HIM THE SHORTENED SEASON FOR ****SAKES. WTF.

Why? So he can do more damage? He'd be a lame duck anyway. The guy is a total clown with no track record here except for blunders, failure, and sound bytes.

Bring in a new guy now to right the ship and get accustomed to things before the offseason. It's not like many moves can be made now on a shortened season.

Stupid move. If you were going to fire him it should have been done at the end of last season.

Anaheim Ducks, part 2?

I wish.

The timing of this is just odd. What he was building was just starting to come together with all sorts of cap space, good young players, and 1 or 2 pieces missing.

Odd.

Actually shocked, what's the plan for how the team will be built now?

This has to be over Luongo one way or another

Any franchise that would put a goalie deal ahead of the GM/President in terms of overall importance is too screwed up for words.

I doubt that this was about the hockey side of the operation, or they would have done this before now.

Holy this is a shocker! I'm stunned.

I guess empty promises and a lack of true direction throughout his tenure lead to this.

I hope they bring someone from outside and not promote from within. I don't want Nonis as he was directly under Burke and has that sense of loyalty for him.

I'd want someone with a good resume.

Good for you guys, although the damage he caused will take time to overcome. As long as you dont hire Doug Maclean to be his replacement this is a watershed day for Leaf fans.
