Regardless, 1 goal for Dach and Slafskovsky has to be a huge disappointment.
Big young players usually regression. Byfield struggling this season, Lafreniere took 5 years, Dubois regressed. It's a tough league, takes time. I'm not expecting nothing major until he's 23. Dach maybe 25, he's lost a lot of time to injuries

Rught, you’d have one guy get 100 and the rest 85…
The poster claimed someone won the scoring title with 85 points while it never happened.
Which season was the top scorer at 100 and 2nd best at 85?
I see 100, 2 at 89, 1 at 86 and 2 at 85.
It’s like Pacioretty scored 40 goals the year he scored 39.

You're definitely not wrong.

That's a very hard trade to make from an organizational stand point tho, and leaves a very big hole in the locker room, those heart & soul players don't come around often.

Would we have made it to the finals without Gally? How much do you value that memory of the Vegas game? Because that memory, I'll have for a lifetime. How important is Gallagher to this team right now with his experience? His legs may of fallen off, but he's still an incredibly important of the room, if not more so because he's the last guy from the old group. He's also been one of our best players this year too, interesting to see how many he can pot this year... on pace for 35.. hahaha. I'll be happy with 25.

Silver lining that contract hasn't really screwed us up considering the status of our team, and the cap is on the rise.
You are joking right? He was freaking garbage that whole run. He should have been a healthy scratch. They sacrificed Tatar but he should have been sitting before him.

I think yes we make the finals without Gally, any half-decent defensive forward would've provided the same.

That said Gallagher isn't a big problem for the rebuild, but he might become one soon depending on what trades/signings we will be doing over the next 1-2 years.

Okay… 87 points.

The point is that scoring was way down when Gallagher was at his best. Yeah he was stick with DD as his center but he had Max, PK and Markov helping him. His points are deflated from what they otherwise would’ve been. And we won’t get into Therrien’s stupid system…

Who scored the 1st goal against Toronto in game 7?
Who assisted on the gwg in game 6 against vegas?

Are those not pivotal plays?
or just garbage points?

When everyone wants to punt you into retirement but you don't care because your are just a chill guy who is 2nd in goals on the team.

Still think we should have moved him when he was an asset and not a broken liability. Happy he is playing well this year because the rest of this team isn't with one single exception.

Gallagher/Anderson been our most consistent line. Beck between them next season be great third line.

Dvorak be gone next season. Well Armia and Evans likely too. Kapanen be with team I imagine.
