Brayden Point recorded his 600th career point and became the sixth player in franchise history to reach the milestone. Point needed 615 games to accomplish the feat which is third fastest by a Lightning player trailing only teammate Nikita Kucherov (557) and Steven Stamkos (595).

Have to wonder what’s up here. Missing team meetings and getting suspended. The top line overall has been disappointing lately as well. Interestingly, Point is a +5 on the season, well behind both Kuch and Guentzel. Meanwhile the best line on the team has been Kuch with Cirelli and Hagel.

During the Bolts cup runs Pointer was my favorite player to watch with his speed and tenacity. The speed is still there and the skill has only grown. Not so sure on the tenacity.

I know he’s a great player but he needs to be a leader on this team and set an example. I really had him circled as the potential next captain after Heddy. Perhaps Cirelli or Hagel would be better suited.

To be fair, I think he has dialed back the tenacity in the regular season for health reasons. We saw that even in the cup years.
