The Rangers sent Duclair to their neurologist Jeffrey Kutcher and Duclair is fine. He participated in the prospects camp earlier this month. Quebec is hosting the Memorial Cup so they get an automatic berth. You see teams hosting the tournament look to add pieces to win it. Duclair will be playing until late May.

Compete this deal with Zach Bogosians. 5m per including RFA years. Bogosian scored 3+8 last season and is suspect defensively. Call up Winnipeg and ask for Bogosian, they wouldn't settle for less than Kreider. There are no players available. Wha is a player worth? 3m per?

Just because most idiots can't comprehend the current market value of players, doesn't mean that contracts are bad.

Some obviously are, ala Clarkson, Clowe, etc. Others are not. This is the new NHL, with a new, consistently rising cap. These deals are the norm now and will become discounts if the players can maintain or increase their level of play throughout the contract.
