Protz is a gem. The way he interacts with young fans coming out of the tunnel, seems like a great kid that just gets it.

He really does.

I love everything about that kid. He just seems to do everything right. He has gotten a lot better as the season has gone on. He has really gotten involved in the offense more.

He's strong as hell too.

Ran into a hot goalie yesterday. Flores always plays well against them.

I was at the game and saw something happen that Noah Roberts was very lucky that the officials didn't see.

Him and Flores were crossing paths at the end of the 2nd period and I kept my eye on them because they are both volatile players. Roberts 100% spit on Flores pads. Flores and a few Ice Dog players talked to officials about it, but nobody saw anything. Nothing even happened between them that I noticed before that.

The crowd love for Chen was something else. Be a long long time before I witness something that special again.

Good for him. We can say what we want, but the kid works hard. Nice to see a special night for him.

Core memory moment for him today.

Glad to Jiříček get his today too.

A couple big statement games. Hopefully we can keep it up for these next two games and head into the break on a high.

Big wins.

The standings are so close. Easy to move up, but not that far from being out of the playoffs too.

Crombie is back in the lineup tonight.

Cole Brown looks to have taken his spot on the 1st line and it's well deserved with his play lately.

As Christmas gets closer it is time to start talking trade.

I would like to see the Bulldogs kicking the tires on a guy like Konnor Smith. 1 dman with some size and toughness would make them a formidable Dcore when Jiricek is finally healthy.

Protz/Hamara
Jiricek/Smith
Moore/Roberts is championship caliber imo.

Add one more quality forward and they could compete for a championship imo.
To add Smith you are releasing Lavoie?

I think they need 3-4 quality pieces brought in before they become a contender.

Wouldn't mind someone like Kevin He to go along with Konnor Smith.

I think I’d be okay with that.

He’s not a bad player by any means but I think you want a better player as your OA if you’re a contender.
Lavoie has been a big disappointment this year. Maybe he turns it around after Christmas but I think it was safe to say he was penciled for 30 goals at least. With the NCAA rule changes you would think if he had another solid year he would have a lot of good programs giving him offers. I'm sure he still will have offers, but not as many as he would have had.

Agreed.

31 regular season games with the Bulldogs last season for 34 points (18G/16A) Plus 6 points in 6 playoff games (4G/2A).

Currently at 31 games for this season and sitting with 19 points. (5G/14A)

The trade deadline will be interesting this year. Not sure I would give up a ton for a trade that only helps this year. Just too many good teams and I don't think the Bulldogs have it. Something just seems to be missing.

I still think that Oshawa is the best team in the Conference when everybody is at full strength.

Will it be much better next year?

Bujold, Lavoie, Thomas, Lardis, Hamura all gone.

Two of Brown, Nelson, Moore, Roberts or Crombie gone

Unless the bulldogs trade lardis and some others mentioned here, I’m not sure I like their chances for next year.

I'm not sure that it will be really.

They could try to add a Luchenko who helps for 2 years, but there are a ton of team after him I'm sure.

If I were GM I would target somebody that helps for 2 yrs and try to add a dman and hope for the best.

If they did that and could ever get healthy maybe they can catch lightning in a bottle.

They would have to trade O'Donnell for sure in a big deal like that though.
