Brandon Hagel

I think the correct stats are the following:
Hagel is at 49 even strength points after 55 games.
He is ranked 5th in the league after MacKinnon, Drai, Pasta and Kuch.
And considering he is on our second line the majority of the time, with Cirelli as his center, that's pretty insane.

This is a big win for JBB. First the trade, but then he got Hagel signed to what looked like a fair deal at the time. And is now arguably the best contract in hockey.

Poor Hags has been playing for peanuts (relatively speaking) ever since making it to the show.

I’m actually not too sure about that

Nylander’s most common linemates are indeed patches and Tavares

Hagels are cirelli and one of Geekie or kucherov

Tavares and Cirelli is gonna favour nylander, and patches is a near 30 point fourth liner and while geekie is producing under even that, he also gets spent equal amounts of time with kucherov, so that would essentially even out

They have very equal linemates.
I'll admit I haven't checked the numbers on Nylander yet, but in Hagel's case, barely any of his points involve Kucherov or Point. I would imagine that a much higher proportion of Nylander's offense also involves at least one of Toronto's best offensive players. The reason Kucherov has that TOI alongside Hagel is because Hagel/Cirelli are the go-to players to switch things up when the offense is struggling. Basically, when Guentzel-Point-Kucherov isn't doing well, Cooper leans heavily on Hagel and Cirelli to carry the load. Even though it seems like Hagel would be the benefactor, it's not the case.

Plus Hagel has spent about 5-6 weeks off of the top power play unit. And above poster is right, Kucherov would never see the ice with Hagel if it werent for Cooper putting the lines into a blender. I don't think they have started the game on the same line at all this year.
