Honestly, I told my friends after game 1 Id trade him. He’s a loser. He’s a passenger.

He’s a great player, cause of his size and around the net, but he’s a very average skater and has meh hands. Im very interested to see him age.

Anyway, good riddance. We lost a shit ton of talent over the years its insane and depressing being a fan of this team

They'll probably go after Tuch if available in free agency, but realistically they'll probably trade for someone like McTavish or DeBrusk to fill the hole at LW.

Will still have a very good chance at making the playoffs, even in a strong East.

If all we can muster up after losing a top line RW is a middle-6 forward, we might as well just blow it all up.

Dude I am not overrating shit, Brady is one of the most valued power forwards in the league no matter what your bias may tell you. Florida just became unstoppable.

Maybe he could be if he starts actually giving a **** again.

He was mailing it in for the past 2 seasons. Somehow still racked up some points but was nowhere near close to the player other team's fans made him out to be.

I can understand the emotional response to this. Please take a deep breath or go for a walk.

This was always going to happen, unfortunately. He could have walked like Marner did. But we have assets and options now. Let's wait and see how this plays out.

Bro I just got home from an hours long walk, don't tell me I have to go back out there. :P

Yeah we got worse today but our future just got a lot better.

Brady wasn't staying beyond next season. Have been saying that for years now and it turned out to be correct.

Not sure what Staios is supposed to do. He added quality assets that he can now flip for replacement talent that will actually be here long-term.

Who tf can we get with a #9 OA in a mediocre draft that could replace Brady? It's not like we have anything else we can spare to include in this hypothetical trade.

And lol, no, we're not getting any sort of elite top line wingers through UFA.

This iS a disaster of epic proportions.

I like Brady, I think he's a good player, a great captain and adds a tone to the team, but the return is very good imo.

If you want to blow a gasket over the trade before seeing how the dust settles, that's fine, I won't try to stop you, but I'm going to see how things play out, we suddenly have a tone of draft capital, as well as a lot of cap space, the team will certainly be different but the potential exists to come out the other side better imo

Have you seen our drafting. 9th overall and 25th overall doesn’t transform our future lol. Even if our drafting is good.

What was wrong with Brady two years ago lol. Why are you making this up

Do you not remember him playing soft and lazy for most of the 24/25 season, supposedly due to a nagging injury, just to go absolutely balls-to-the-wall at the World Cup for Team USA, further aggravating whatever injury he did have, almost costing us a playoff spot?

What future man? We're in our first contending window in a decade. We have no choice but to immediately flip these picks or risk futility for another decade and I doubt this market can withstand it.

I don't think we'll be selecting 25th overall. That pick will likely be on the move in a deal for a top 6 forward.

I'm hopeful that we use the 9th on a high skill player, but I'm not going to hold my breath. Feel like they could try to replace Brady with a poor man's version of him in Hemming or Belchetz.
