I'm not a Sens fan but if I was I wouldn't be happy with the trade.

If the other 1st wasn't top 10 protected I'd be on the fence though.

It's a 2029 pick, even if it wasn't top-10 protected we're talking about a player which won't get to Ottawa until 2031 at the earliest. On its own it's a fine asset to have, but not when you're trading your second best forward.

It's a terrible, terrible trade.

Feel free to DM me.

I just never liked the hate pile on he got online over people just speculating what his politics were. If he was actively promoting politics I despise that would be different. But I don't jump to conclusions based off speculation or hearsay.
Nah, I'm good, thanks.

As it stands, we have one true top-6 winger, and that's inconsistent Bath.

How is a #9 pick and #25 going to get us anything remotely resembling a top line player and a 2nd line winger? What else exactly can we trade which will get us these assets? I don't think we can afford to trade Pinto, Greig or even Zetterlund at this point unless we want AHLers in the lineup next season.

Everyone seems to be living in la-la land today.
You either swing large and go for one of the big fish, or you acquire 2 quieter players who can slide into the top 6 LWs and add some offense. There's a lot you can do - and I assume Staois will be on it.

I felt awful when we traded Hossa for Heatley and even felt bad for him when he lost against Detroit in the finals. But I did chuckle at him losing against Pittsburgh with Detroit. It was weak af but at least he got his rings with Chicago.
My 2nd favorite player (after Alfie).

I'm not one to come to enemy territory but genuinely f*** this guy. Good that you moved off him early enough and you'll be better off in the long run than having this MAGA clown representing the team.

It's who he associated with and continues to associate with.

He was one of the elite few clowns on the White House lawn last week when so many people stayed far away. That makes him special.

The difference between The Ontario and Florida tax rates will net Brady an extra Million USD take home, per season on his current contract …. Which I’m sure his punk brother pointed out to him shortly after he left Calgary

Not really, it's gonna suck for a season with that type of hole in the line-up.

If you manage to snag something good inf FA or develop something internally you will be stronger next season as a result.

There is also the probability you trade one of the 1sts for a good player that is buried on another team that you can play higher-up in your line-up and he flourishes.

Don't be mad about the trade - it would have been worse next year.

Be mad at the player. He lied to everyone repeatedly about his intentions, and when push cane to shove, he tied one hand behind Staios' back.

His reported list:
Florida
Vegas
Carolina (what a f***ing chumpl
Minnesota

Vegas and Minnesota have nothing. Carolina is too funny to even try and contemplate right now.

Brady did everything in his power to try and screw us before the door hit him on the ass on the way out.

f*** him.

Refs have to be on some special crack to stop themselves from giving penalties every other shift lol. Parros will let them be goons, but I hope Brady doesn't resort to being a dirtbag on ice the way the other two are. Brady might be stupid with his I'll times fights and penalties but he's not a head hunter or cheap shit artist like the other two.
So he'll be good cop to the other 2 bad cops.

Only three types of clowns that actively associate with these people. The grifters looking to make a buck, the spineless corp bribers trying to grease the wheels, and the dumbass true believers.

Yeah seems like you're grasping at straws dude.

So many "ifs" but the reality is Staios is in a very bad situation and I highly doubt he has the skills to get himself out of it. It's not entirely on him given Brady wanting out, but I'm done making excuses for any GM on this team.
