Can we stop making dumbass threads on the trade board about Brady? It only incites the rest of us and draws unnecessary trade speculation attention.
Brooksie had to backtrack his original statement on twitter. Also Weekes spoke.
It's an interesting spin on Andlauer's motives for commenting on this. Can't imagine the NHL could officially use this situation to justify amending the punishment for Dadonov, but it might soften the league's stance.
I think it's odd that a tampering statement was just released and now this. The reason, IIRC, was about how fast new signings were released on freeagent day this past summer....It didn't seem any different than other years. I think it was a smoke screen. The Rangers doubled down and Andlauer spoke up.Call me naive, but I don't think it has anything to do with the Dadonov pick. To me, he's sending a message to the other teams here, not to the league.
Brooks is full of shit so it’s hard to take him seriously.
Where is Brooks backtracking on twitter? I don't see anything there, and he doubled down on spittin chicklets.
I said this yesterday. Definitely seems to me like a part of the play for a reduced punishment for Dorion's antics.
I don't think the team needs to be distracted from. They're playing better and have a big game coming up, no different than their other games recently. They owned the game the other night and Forsberg couldn't muster up an important save, it happens. Still 4-2-1 in their last 7. On to the next one. There’s a master plan here? This morning your Captain is talking about some thing he said he didn’t even know about yesterday and he’s denying trade rumours - it’s just bad for business.
Sens have a must win and this is what we are talking about? If there is a master plan it’s to distract from their lose and 25th place overall. That’s it.

I have no problem with what Andlauer did, nor with Brady addressing it, it was a story regardless. Our last owner would have embarrassed himself with a csi investigation and law suit, so call it an improvement.
Nothing burger imo, but you're allowed your opinion. I think Brady was going to be addressing this with or without Andlauer's comments, and the story out of NY alone generated the majority of the attention. When players are defending the owner - the organization is losing. It feel chaotic to me, the most Melnyck thing he’s done.
I don’t like Andlauer’s tact here, I think he feels Ottawa has an inferior complex for whatever reasons he has (because he doesn’t understand the city and he’s just going off his Toronto and Montreal bias) - now Brooks is talking about it on Spitting Chciklets and Brady is answering questions about the owner being traded. Dumb move, Bettman shot it down this morning.
It also puts Brady Takchuk in a situation where he has to tell us all how much he loves us fans, and he loves the city, and he loves the team - EK, Spezza, Alfie all Caotains and all said the same thing even after they left. Meaningless words
You can love the city of Ottawa, the fans, the trainers and still be a New York Ranger and say those things. Pointless talk here from Andlauer and Brady. Feels like when the GM says he has confidence in his coach
someone said there was a backtrack in an article but there is no evidence of the backtrack.. I if you can't produce a source on something claimed to happen then you should backtrack your claim.Where is Brooks backtracking on twitter? or to tell people to back offI said this yesterday. Definitely seems to me like a part of the play for a reduced punishment for Dorion's antics.
