Offering something that is so blatantly unattractive that you know somebody won’t take is not a legitimate offer. Post an item on Craigslist, you will understand what a ‘non legitimate’ offer is really quick.
Not sure what Tyler Boucher has to do with this convo.
Relax keyboard warriors. After signing Batherson long term, expect Ottawa to sign Brady to 6 or 7 years within a week.
lol,
To show Simpsons tweets aren’t that reliable.
Fair enough, but it’s reasonable speculation when he didn’t sign the 6 year 42 million contract offer and you can see heavy similarities between his dad and brother.
I have a hard time believing the Senators wouldn't match any offer sheet. Kind of a fool's errand. Can he sign offer sheets?
Thoughts?

Is this real inside info or some beat writer speculating?
Where is the this 6 year 42 million contract offer coming from?
People always get riled up about RFAs but with players that don’t have arbitration eligibility there really isnt much of deadline. The closest thing to one is the start of training camp. We are still two weeks out from that date, there isn’t much incentive from either side to move all that much. As we get closer there’s more incentive and perhaps if it drags into training camp we can start asking questions about what is going on.
This negotiation dragging into September was so predictable and nothing to be concerned about yet.
Well lets call it a rumoured number, at best since it came from hockeybuzz

The Raptors have never attracted top end FAs; not ever! And they have kept their guys buy paying them loads of cash.slightly off topic, but the raptors have had no problem attracting and retaining talent, and the stars in that league are outspoken divas.
The fact they have this much capspace and can't get a deal done is ridiculous.
Where did you get that from the tweet in the OP? If true, the fact that Brady is frustrated that it's taking so long would indicate he does want to stay in Ottawa.
