I think the lack of success in the era Tkachuk presided over is going to play against him. They missed the playoffs in 7 consecutive seasons and then limped in twice. They were largely uncompetitive in both playoff appearances - first they got clowned by their provincial rivals and then swept by Carolina.

Nobody will remember the Tkachuk years all that fondly.
