He needs a jumpstart!
put Gaborik with Nash and he'll get one too..
though he's putting up points (assists)
He needs a jumpstart!
I have been on him too for his play but you are getting confused though as the last lockout the league came back to a full regular 82 game schedule and full camp. Without a doubt no camp has affected players like Hank,Richie,Girardi etc. Anyway he does have to pick it up a ton and hopefully he'll be ok.The guy is an NHL veteran, one of the highest paid guys on the roster, and has been through a lockout before. There is no excuse for Richards to be that badly out of shape.
I am beginning to loathe the sight of Richards in the same way that I loathed the sight of Gomez...
Yup.He's been shockingly terrible at hockey. It hasn't been tough luck. It hasn't been losing half a step. He's looked lazy on both sides of the ice, constantly misses teammates sticks on passes, continuously makes horrible hockey decisions with the puck (even strength, PP, it doesn't matter), and (unofficially) is responsible for the most odd man rushes going the other way due to one of his awful turnovers. I don't know what NHL's scorekeepers standard for turnovers are, but they're wrong. He has like twice as many as they recorded. At least.
Yup.Rangers looked better during the games that Richards was out w/ injury.
Yup.Biggest thing is...
His decision making.
Purely putrid. He looks like he's 15 seconds behind in the game. He looks like he's skating in cement, but he's never been that good of a skate to begin with.
Amen .Richards can go, and take Torts with him.
He looks like he just doesn't care. No heart.
I say give him next year to prove that he still has some left in the tank and that the lockout messed up his timing and overall play.
If he plays this terribly next year, we should definitely buy him out next year.
