Cant ask for a bigger wake up call then this, he will be a man on fire. Did Haley even get a shift?
 
I don't know if I play him next game.... That 4th line looked good when they were out there... Damned if you do damned if you dont.

I personally would leave him out. I don't think it's just drive/fire. He was a conn smythe winner. If the drive isn't there for the playoffs to begin with (especially for a conn smythe winner), scratching him isnt going to make much of a difference.
 
No way he should play. The Bruins 4th line for the most part was neutralized. At least our 4th line showed some speed and heart.
 
Is this for real? You bench his ass we need people who can skate out there
 
Rangers needed a fourth line that can play tough hockey, not top 6 cast outs. Don't play Richards again. Keep the fourth as it is.

Bottom line is Richards will provide ZERO offense and he is a liability on Defense.

Don't mess with the lineup.

Don't like Torts. Think he should be gone, but I LOVE that speech he just gave on Richards in his post game interview. Talk about defending a player. Props to Torts for that. :thumbu:

That said, keep him out. IF we pull this off, he can play Game 1 next series when he's got a good week+ of conditioning practices and such in. Then we'll see if Richards really has heart. He'll also likely feel less unhealthy pressure considering the team would be coming off 4 straight wins.

The pressure and embarrassment on being the 4th line and his play has negated his game.

Agreed with everything he said. This is why I was so ****ing disgusted with people thinking about booing the guy. He is someone so well respected on the team and it's clear something is just wrong with him. He either hit the age wall or something is seriously injured on the guy. The booing talk was just pathetic, IMHO.

I do hope that we buy him out this summer. I sort of expect to see him around next year, but I do hope that Sather buys him out.
