I love Marchand great player and better Bruin, but I'm moving him if the Bruins are out of the playoff picture come or near deadline. Im certainly asking him where he would like to go and try to work a deal out with those teams first, but he's being moved no matter what. Sweeney has to do whats best for this Organization moving forward, and if, and thats only if this team is on the outside looking in come deadline imo you move Brad.

Hey we might end up with the same outcome - it's just about the approach. I say you tell Marchand the plan (to move assets and build to next year) then you ask if he wants to chase the cup somewhere else this season or to stay in Boston. Just seems like the respectful way to go and IMO would go a long way around the league to what players think of dealing with Boston.

Rich Keefe has been accurate with other Bruons reporting. I don't expect Brad Marchand to tell everyone "Rich Keefe is correct, I hate Pastrnak". If anything the Bruins and Marchand simply turned this into a bigger deal. Maybe if they put this amount of energy into on ice performance they wouldn't completely suck. I certainly have no inside info. Just relaying that Keefe has been accurate with other Bruins stuff before and doesn't drop nuggets all the time. Is he wrong here? Certainly could be. That's all. I have no idea. I personally don't care if they are best friends or if there is some animosity. Them proving they are friends doesn't mean shit to me. Just play better.

I would imagine it's similar to New York and Philly anyway. Toronto/Montreal? That Northeast thing ha. But if someone has credible sources and gets info like this I don't have any issues with reporting it. Sorta like how the Patriots reporters report on all the friction between Brady/Belichick and the chaos behind the scenes with Mayo etc. Whether it's true/people choose to believe any of is different story.

What Keefe is doing, by legal definition, is slander. If Marchand and Pastrnak really want to make an example of him, they could file a complaint against Keefe and WEEI. Not saying they will but the more Keefe doubles down, the worse he looks and the more he opens the door to actual consequences.

Not a lawyer but there are enough cases in and out of sports that started off with shit like this.
