Anderson is actually decent, his game isn't very flashy and he's not quite as fleet of foot so you don't notice him a whole lot but he does the little things well and puts himself in good positions. I went to the Caps game on Sunday and he had multiple close calls where he almost potted one, and he also scored Friday if I'm not mistaken. He's not a world beater but he's also not a bad player by any means. That being said, I do prefer McMann, but I'd rather have both Anderson and McMann in over ZAR and Simmonds full time.

Also, the underlying numbers look really good for both Anderson and McMann. When they are on the ice, the Leafs have been dominating their matchups in terms of controlling the puck and having possession. The sample size is small of course (10 games for Joey, 8 for Bobby), but both lead the team in possession in expected goals believe it or not (this would obviously normalize more over a full season).
