Calm Down everyone.

People put Way too much stock in who wins or loses a stupid fight. Who cares?

Buffalo isnt even in our Universe when it comes to hockey ability. No need to worry about them.

We lost because they didnt take their chances, but they still scored 4 goals.

We lost because tuukka wasnt at his best, but more importantly because the D ****ed up. Chara played his worst game in Boston.

Does anyone seriously believe he's going to continue playing like this? Of course not. With an at least decent Z, we Win this game.

We'll be fine.

Both team's D were terrible tonight, lets just leave it at that.

I'd worry less about the fighting and more about containing Vanek.

Yep. Don't think about matching the scrubs. Don't even fight, just go out and score goals.

If someone elbowed grigorenko or w/e the Sabres rookies name is there would be a thread on it on HF and a def suspension

since it's the Bruins I see none

I'm waiting to get a video of it before I make a thread... nothing more annoying then someone posting a "OMG [player] with cheapshot on [player]!!!" and there's no video in the thread.

MacDermid's 205 pounds, a lightweight. You need a Matt Kassian, Brian McGrattan, Steve Macintyre, Mitch Fritz for that.

Please tell me this is a joke.

The last thing Boston needs are any of those players. Boston is the reason teams go out and get those guys. When they dress those useless schlubs they're that much easier to beat.

Thornton got hammered by Scott, but that's kinda what he's paid to do. He'll fight him again, and will again either win or lose (though I doubt there's anyway Thornton can contend with that reach). Far more concerning was the fact that Vanek was allowed free reign to steam roll the Bruins on the scoreboard.

Kinda concerned about Bergy ... he did come back, but that doesn't have to mean anything.

Not really. Scott is a goon who doesn't score. Just ignore him and counter with our top sniper Lucic on their top sniper Vanek. Thats where the game is won. Let Lucic give him some tough love. What they gonna do, send Scott to retaliate or try to intimidate Lucic? It would be a win win situation in either case.

When will Lucic ever be able to skate with Vanek?

I was expecting no fights with Scott and said so on other threads.

Every one of them would piss their pants, puke, and lay in fetal position if they had to fight Scott in real life.

It's not even that (although it's true). It's more of the sheer fact that the guy is clearly a big part of the heart and soul and overall toughness of the team. He gets destroyed by a guy who has 55 lb and 6 inches on him, and out come the wolves to let the world know how much he sucks and how useless he is. Give it a rest.

The game turned when Miller made a big stop on Lucic and in following through Looch got a boarding call and Chara's got a holding.

If Milan had scored, it would have been 4-1 and lights out.
Bingo.

We were about to run them out of the rink and Miller made a nice save. The entire thing turned there. If Lucic buries that it's 4-1 and Miller is wearing a cap.

I'm not concerned about the lack of "physical push back". John Scott got Sugar good but it all ended after that. The Sabres did not really "engage" physically.

Yes, the Stafford elbow was dirty but it came in the run of play, out of sight of everyone. Once someone points it out he will get his.

The Sabres won their Cup tonight. Vanek was awesome. Miller was awesome.

Our defense was AWFUL. Chara was dreadful. Ference was dreadful. Too many pinches.

I'm officially concerned ab out Tyler Seguin. Yes, he is getting chances but nothing is happening. He is taking the easy way out. Shooting one stride too early, trying to do it all on his own.

One game, first regulation loss. It's not like the Sabres ran us out of the rink physically. We played horrible defense and they had their best game of the year.

Go into Toronto, beat them soundly, back on track.

wow, timeout and putting Scott out just to rub it in the Bruins face

Actually because Julien put McDermid and whoever else on the ice while Vanek-Hodgson-Pominville was out, and Ruff didn't want the Bruins gooning it up on them after the game was already over.
