Who ? Another middleweight who'll get tuned up ?

The fact is we're not gonna match Scott nor should we worry about that plug. The real problem is the B's did not treat some of the smaller Sabres they way Scott treated Thornton.

Thornton deserved more of a response from the guys he has protected for a few years now.

I'm pretty sure that's what calling up MacDermid for tonight was all about.

Fourth line got scrambled because of Thornton going out early, but like it or not, they had the pieces in place tonight to play a physical game tonight, and it didn't happen.

Take it out on the Laffs.

MacDermid's 205 pounds, a lightweight. You need a Matt Kassian, Brian McGrattan, Steve Macintyre, Mitch Fritz for that.

Coming in peace. Boston will be fine. You guys sound like Buffalo fans before the game. I think Ruff called a timeout because he sawMacDermid on the ice and didn't like the matchup. Scott was put out to make sure nothing stupid happened.

I agree with this post.

Well Buffalo fans must be pretty damn happy tonight. Scott broke Thornton and Vanek does what he always does to the B's.

The play in the defensive zone was absolutely awful. Why are they so concerned with the shooter on a 2 on 1? Let Rask take the shooter and you make sure that pass doesn't get through.

I'm just glad Bergeron came back, I'd have to do some drinking if you added an injury to him on to this mess of a game. Oh well, bring on our NHL affiliate Saturday.

To add to that thought they played very well in the first and second periods, building a substantial lead. Unfortunately, the third was there down fall. When you get a one or two goal lead you at least try and hold it till the end. I wasn't seeing that kind of desperation in this game.

Colton Orr and Frazer McLaren are licking their chops tonight at the thought of running around Saturday like the Sabres did tonight.

Frazer McLaren has lost a fight to Jared Boll among others. Tough kid but nothing too crazy. Bruins don't have anybody to match Orr with no Thornton but you don't have to fight him in the five minutes he's on the ice. I like how Thornton gets really beaten badly in one fight and all of a sudden the Bruins have zero team toughness. It was one fight!

Didn't change the culture at all. They're still divers, gutless and their team sucks. Just a bad game for the Bs. Happens to all teams.

Exactly. Bruins totally dominated the play. Sabres got back in it with the 5 on 3. That 4-4 goal was a bad one to give by tuuk. And Miller made plenty of great saves.

I'll take the Sabres in a best of 7 any days.

Now, let's get back on track against the Laffs.

Well, ouch. We all knew the B's were due for a regulation loss. But the wheels just fell off all around. Everything that could go wrong did.

Oh well. Sabres still aren't going anywhere this year, and we've got a date with Phil Kessel on Saturday. Time to refocus.

Bergie didn't take any draws after coming back.

Oddly enough I had this same exact epiphany tonight. As great of a player as Seguin is, he's just not cut out for that type of role yet. I don't know if it's that he's too fast, or he's trying to do too much when all he needs to do is gain entry and pull up. Either way, he's not succeeding.

Thank you for expressing exactly how I feel about Seguin.

The kid has NO hockey sense right now. NONE. Ironically enough he's got the same one-trick approach Kessel had when he was here.

Seguin tries to do way too much out there and it always ends up costing us possession of the puck. He either loses control of it, or gets broken up. He has got to learn to take it wide and look for a play. I can't believe he hasn't caught onto this yet...

Glad I'm not the only one seeing that haha :)

I had flashbacks to the 2010 Flyers series!

Pretty much. All I'm trying to get at is the Bruins aren't winning anything by engaging Scott there in anything which some here were calling for. Bruins just have to remember for next game.

Its just terrible decision making. He needs to learn from guys like Peverley and Krejci who are patient, take it deep, and wait for the rest of the linemates to arrive. He has been this way last year too. He just tried to do too much and it costs us quality chances.

This is a good point.

I think he rushes things, and he could learn a little patience.

Touching isn't it?

It's like someone saw an Ann Coulter book in his locker.

Now you know why they have a "thankless job".

Calm Down everyone.

People put Way too much stock in who wins or loses a stupid fight. Who cares?

Buffalo isnt even in our Universe when it comes to hockey ability. No need to worry about them.

We lost because they didnt take their chances, but they still scored 4 goals.

We lost because tuukka wasnt at his best, but more importantly because the D ****ed up. Chara played his worst game in Boston.

Does anyone seriously believe he's going to continue playing like this? Of course not. With an at least decent Z, we Win this game.

We'll be fine.
