The game turned when Miller made a big stop on Lucic and in following through Looch got a boarding call and Chara's got a holding.

If Milan had scored, it would have been 4-1 and lights out.

I don't know what happened to him in Europe but he's been bad this year.

I think Europe size ice fits his game better and reinforced his weaknesses (fighting along the boards and getting in close and dirty to the goal). I think he will come back, but other than keeping his fitness I am not sure the bigger ice improved his game. He would have been better playing AHL IMO.

Problem is they started w/ 2 borderline calls for the B's in the 1st. They don't call the ticky tack stuff for 10 minutes, then all of a sudden what wasn't a penalty a minute ago is a worthwhile call.

Bergeron clearly tripped, no call. Hamilton elbowed, no call.

Not that it matters w/ the ridiculous PP. If the B's had a PP, game was over in the 1st. This team gives up 5 goals, it's going to lose most nights.

Yeah they were definitely bad all around, too. I just don't see how any sane person can call that stupid little hold while the Bruins are already on a delayed penalty. The little slash on Horton was a horrid call, too.

Buffalo fans have the right to gloat. Beat the hell out of our team...Scott walked in and knocked Thornton out for God knows how long. They scored 7 goals and didn't fold down 2.

Yeap. Good game by a struggling Buffalo team. Poor game by a successful Bruins team. You can't win them all. ANd it was a brutal lesson.I feel bad for the Maple LEafs having to deal with the fallout from this game.

What are they supposed to do? Get Lucic to fight Scott with 13 seconds left? Thats the exact reason Scott is on the ice there. Boston probably loses a player to suspension somehow if a fight happens there.

Remind me JRull where i said that? I completely agree with you. People screaming for Mcdermid to fight Scott at the end are nuts, cause frankly the same outcome with what happened to Thornton would have happened.

All i'm saying is Scott knocks Thornton out no contest, and after that nothing. B's did not stand up for themselves. Stafford elbows Hamilton in the head? Nothing. Couple other instances where a statement should have been made by the bruins that they were the tougher team, and they did nothing.

The defense is the bigger issue to the loss tonight, but they could have been tougher as well.

Seguin needs time on the 4th line, seriously. Won't fight for the puck, just a half effort with his stick and skates or spins away. You can't be scared of being hit if you are a hockey player. And you can't try to stick handle your way through two guys,

Buffalo deserves some respect they played a full 60 tonight and played hard. Bruins, not so much. I don't know if it was the fight early, exhaustion, or just underestimation but it was fairly clear they weren't as prepared, at least mentally, as they should have been. Either way respect to Buffalo (they made a few dirty plays but) overall they played a good game.

Really hope the league takes a look at that Stafford elbow.
I see no reason why there shouldn't be a suspension for that. Precisely the kind of thing the league needs to address. Stafford clearly was looking to catch him with that elbow up high.

Uhh, that was a terrible "interview" post-game with Marchaud...

"Gee Brad, great individual effort out there, but you guys played awful there, 3rd period especially. Vanek manhandled you guys out there."

"Yes Andy, I know..... "

Like really? Actually, I don't even think the guy asked any questions, just stated the obvious. Up until that point, I actually ENJOYED the nesn coverage of the game.

Here comes the "we suck, trade everyone" crowd. Only took one loss for this place to be unbearable again.

Posts like this make no sense to me at all. Are fans not allowed to be upset about a very bad game by their team? Especially, when it's Buffalo? When has anyone said anything about trading anyone? When? Post like yours are unbearable mister high and mighty.

I am not part of the overreact crowd but seriously Seguin is not a very good stick handler and when he tries to lead rushes it just leads to a turn over.

I dont know about anyone else but when I see him go into the offensive zone leading a rush I just know it will amount to nothing. He usually tries to stick handle through the first defenseman but ends up turning it over 95 percent of the time. The other 5 percent he shoots from beyond the faceoff circle and nothing happens

Its just terrible decision making. He needs to learn from guys like Peverley and Krejci who are patient, take it deep, and wait for the rest of the linemates to arrive. He has been this way last year too. He just tried to do too much and it costs us quality chances.
