Ehh, fly'n too high of late. Reality check game. Sucks it had to come against the sabres...the team I hate the most...but the sabres were pretty motivated for this one while things have bounced our way quite a bit up until this one...

Re-focus. Get right back to it.

I can handle losing, it's gonna happen. But not against that team in that fashion. This one stings.

Classless by Ruff? Probably. But Boston accepted it, you're right Cam. Just a terrible defensive night, Chara's worst game, and gutless play by Boston. One scrum after the Thornton fight and thats it. Bruins needed to send a message earlier.

What are they supposed to do? Get Lucic to fight Scott with 13 seconds left? Thats the exact reason Scott is on the ice there. Boston probably loses a player to suspension somehow if a fight happens there.

Also, this board is really, really dumb sometimes. If you put the blame for this loss on Rask, you need a reality check. THe worst game of his career? Jesus Christ. Everyone was praising him when he was lights out and now all of a sudden hes the worst goalie in the world. Shut. Up.

No one should blame Rask, but he had a bad game. Miller saved the game when he saved the Chara one timer, Rask didn’t make that save. Not his fault but you need a big save from your goalie to get a win sometimes and Rask didn’t deliver. That last goal by Vanek was all Rask, he goes back in his net, falls down, makes himself small and gives Vanek the upper half of the net to shoot at.

The loss isn't on him.. but again, he had no big saves tonight. Contrast that with Miller who had at least 3 in the 3rd period alone to keep his team in it and ahead.

6 pucks got by him.. he was hung out to dry on some of them but again.. no big saves on any of those shots

He's not the reason the Bruins lost.. but he's part of it. Along with the sloppy play of the guys in front of him. It happens.

Buffalo fans have the right to gloat. Beat the hell out of our team...Scott walked in and knocked Thornton out for God knows how long. They scored 7 goals and didn't fold down 2.

God awful defensive effort, completely hung Rask out to dry. More disappointed that Chara didn't go after Scott after the Thornton beatdown, I guess Buffalo got their cup tonight.

I'm hoping that No one really knows just how blatant Stafford's elbow was. Next time they play, they'll know. I can hear the silence from Shanahan's office now.

Not that this is news, but Lindy Ruff is a huge toolbag. ****ing POS.

Totally forgot about that play. There was no injury, it won't even get a review, and I don't care that it does or not. Stafford being suspended doesn't change the fact that the Bruins were just embarassed on home ice by a division rival

It was alittle more then that Chuck,This game changed with full five on 3 for two mins,

A 5 on 3, courtesy of our fearless leader and his timely holding penalty.

wow, timeout and putting Scott out just to rub it in the Bruins face

soooo disappointed tonight, the Bruins looked more like the Canucks than the Bruins tonight, beaten up and played soft the rest of the game, thinking a half-effort finesse game was going to work or something

what a sick game it was

Lucic playing too disciplined because it was a close game

Seguin was ridiculous, has been all year, superstar skills but KHL type effort when the going gets tough, had us excited for a big year when early reports said he had bulked up over the summer, but he is playing as soft as ever, maybe softer

feel sorry for Rask, Vanek standing in front of the net stickhandling back and forth was a sad way to cap the night off

Macdermid ineffective, can't blame him but he didn't look skilled enough to be effective physically which would have been his only value in a game that saw Shawn out early after getting beaten

Marchand, Bergeron and Paille showed great effort, probably the bright spot of the whole team, good energy, some mistakes, but Bergy hurt and still came back and played hard

Hamilton with great effort too, looked great on the pinches when we needed to gamble a bit to try to get a comeback goal

didn't like seeing John Scott shoving Seidenberg too and the Bruins had no team answer after that either, really sad game overall from a physical perspective

Exactly. I still haven't read an explanation what the Bruins were supposed to do in that situation. Fighting Scott there plays right into Buffalo's hands.

It's one game, Chara and the defence in general sucked. It happens, let's not totally overreact and get too scared of the big, bad Sabres.

I know its cliche to say the bruins beat themselves. But today, when looking at how the bruins gave up the lead with some uncharacteristic defensive breakdowns - They definately helped buffalo win tonight.

Scott or not he played 4 minutes. Lucic still hitting, chara still hitting but our coverage in our own end was horrible. 2 on 1's, free 1 timers all over the place.
Tomas Vanek (more than a ppg player vs the bruins) capatilized on our breakdowns.

Colton Orr and Frazer McLaren are licking their chops tonight at the thought of running around Saturday like the Sabres did tonight.

Defensive pairings let up a ridiculous amount of odd man rushes and eventually a 2 on 0 dagger play. Very sloppy tonight boys.

BUT
To Lindy Ruff, if you're gonna pull that garbage at the end of a win, please don't let your players cry to the media after your losses. A Timeout with a 7-4 lead with 10 seconds left? Really?

They beat us. Our D let Rask out to dry.

Get them next time, they're not better. They'll be fighting Montreal for the cellar.

Lou, they do have the right to gloat.
But not in this forum. I know that exact rule. I wrote it.
