I am pretty sure everyone and their mother was hoping you did it. I mean you are that go to guy for this type of stuff.
If I had been home I very easily could have. Even tried using a remote desktop session through my phone on the road but that didn't work.

Good news Carl Soderberg's season ends on 3/5/13 should be enough time to left for him to carry us into the playoffs.

I for one, am happy that Rico Suave showed up tonight. That's how dynamic the kid can be when he's healthy. I full believe if he didnt go through all those injuries, he'd be on the Bruins or some other nhl team right now.

Sauve sure looked good tonight

Marchand was flying- no rust here

liked Krejci's game

Spooner has a **** load of talent

hated to see McQuaid fight after all the stuff he's been thru recently

Love Lucic but he struggled imo

Bourque played very well- that entire line did

overall with Horton coming back, Lucic, McQuaid, they could probably use another 10 days and 2 exhibition games against other NHL teams but whatever

oh, and the goaltending was spotty

Definitely need to emphasize this point.

Whenever Boston crashed Dobby, the Providence guys cleared the crease. Every single time.

But when Providence did it? Nothing. The best example was that goal where Sauve (was it Sauve?) was allowed to just keep whacking away at Tuukka's pad. In a real game, he would have been knocked on his ass before he got a second attempt in. That and Rask would have tried covering it.

But again, this Providence team has been playing as a team for months now. The Bruins haven't played together in like 9 months. They certainly have more talent but the rust and timing issues negate almost all of it.

Nothing to be worried about in the slightest though.

yah, we got down to the second row right behind the net and Boston defense treated Providence like a big brother playing their younger ones.

I was wondering as I watched the Robins-Hansen-McDermid line appear to play very edgy if they might have been told by Claude to play that way on purpose the way Bill Parcells used to orchestrate this stuff in practices at times...but I hated the McQuaid fight

Robins has 21 fights so far this season and McQuaid hasn't played in almost a year. I'm not too worried about it. **** happens.

what about Dougie?

I kind of forgot about him and when I did pay attention he didn't really show to much- not suprisingly he was no way even close to the guy I saw for Niagra who roamed all over. He is pretty tall, and he is a very good skater; I'd say he is 200 NHL games before we see what we hope to consistently. In Niagra he could use the entire sheet no matter what side he was assinged, but tonight he seemed to stay on his side of the ice and was not in risk take mode. He did once up the side, lost it and Marchand almost scored on a rush, that probably made him think twice

There are very few Ray Bourque's on defense as you know- but he is on the right team for learning the position

Longtime season ticket holder to Providence here and I found myself rooting for Providence although I didn't start watching the game with those intentions. Loved what I saw from Sauve, and had no issues with the Robbins/McQuaid fight. If this happened in a closed practice no one would bat an eyelash. Can't wait for Saturday!

I saw the Providence Bruins post the final score along with them posing at center ice. Just shows that our up an comers have serious potential, being able to beat our boys like that!
Also how did Horty do? I forgot to watch it.

Hopefully this loss embarasses the big league team a bit and they sharpen their focus and play a strong game against the Rangers. It's probably a good thing, I predict Rask will be sharp on Saturday.

Bergeron's line was not cutting it tonight, hope they step up. (I'm sure they will)

I know they all ended up as - players but i dont know by how much.. Maybe -2?

Third line was rocking tonight, and Krejci was also looking really good.

Are they serious with this?

•The Bruins will not print tickets for season ticketholders. Tickets will be available online only for printing

I love the guise of paperless with stuff like this. So instead of a small ticket people print out a full size page for their ticket. Makes sense.

We had the same perspective, probably behind the other net (behind Tuukka twice). Nobody should be freaking out over a glorified practice. A perfect example was the Providence goal by Tardif, I think it was, that came on something like his sixth whack at the puck. I don't think that anyone had to tell the P-Bruins to go full bore, though - it was a perfect opportunity to be noticed, and any ambitious player is going to take advantage of that.

It was fun to watch the action close up. Good to see Horton on the ice. Dougie was naturally a little tentative but overall I think he was fine. Bourque did great and could develop some nice chemistry with Kelly and Pevs. The smile on Kelly's face when Bourque scored was priceless. Seguin appeared quite irritated with himself a few times, though he, Bergy and Marchand did click a time or two. Give them a bit more time together and they'll be something to watch. The fight wasn't much of anything, and if anything I think perhaps McQuaid was glad to be tested and get it out of the way. I think the happiest guy to be one the ice was Thornton. The only thing that really had me worried during the whole scrimmage was when someone slipped or stumbled (which happened frequently) and I was expecting a groin pull. Seems everyone made it through OK, though.

First of all, it was such a high to be back at the Garden after months of being away. The crowd was great, and it was fun just to see the Bruins again, and do all of the regular Garden-night things. I'm really glad the Bruins did this.

I'm also glad the game was against the full Baby B's, rather than being a strictly in-squad scrimmage; it was still a practice session, but it gave the game a bit more of a competitive edge which made it fun as a spectator.

I don't think it's any coincidence that Chris Bourque and Jay Pandolfo scored the game's first two goals. Clearly, Bourque was the most fired up player on the Big B's. He seemed to have some good chemistry with Kelly and Pevs and was really working hard out there; he wants that third line spot and you have to say he's the pretty clear favorite for it at this point.

Lucic was looking as lumbering as we'd suspected. Krejci and Marchand didn't seem to have much rust and look ready to go. I can't believe Quaider got into a fight... WTF.

It's amazing how quickly they'll have to ramp up the intensity with how short camp is. The game started off with both teams mostly gliding out there, though business really picked up in the third when the Bruins went on their big run. It's crazy to have such a short training camp; the team could definitely use some more work and conditioning. At least it's the same for every team in the NHL.

Only about 198 games more than fans give for a prospect to shine here:) calls for a trade to be made by someone in week one asking why Chia didn`t take_____________ at the 9th spot:sarcasm:

Agreed. I can't believe Marchand was the best player on that line (and he actually looked really good). We need Bergeron and Seguin to carry the load right from the get-go.

Not sure I agree with you two. Marchand, Bergeron and Seguin were clearly the best line all night despite them ending as minus players. They had a few timing issues with their passes but otherwise they were all flying and mostly finding eachother. Best line last night by far in my opinion. /shrug

I mean.. even against an AHL roster Seguin and the rest of that line aren't guaranteed to score every night.
