I think The Bruins ended the season 15-1-0 after their embarrassing loss to Chicago. And in that 6-3-1 record they compiled they beat: Leafs, Sens, Jackets, Caps, Sabres, Canadiens. One playoff team. And lost to: Canes, Leafs, Sens, Rangers. 3 playoff teams.
I think it'll be a good series, but the hot narrative is a bit overblown, given that they had a somewhat easy schedule to end the season.
Good luck Panthers fans, should be a good one
Nobody here knows for sure but all signs point to Lyon.Who starts in goal for the Panthers? has Lyon earned that much trust in such a short time?
Originally I was thinking the Islanders would grind them down a bit more and play a similar style, but the Panthers certainly have some more offensive firepower. To me the real question is goaltending, though. I picked Bruins in 5 but could see this going 6 or 7.I think the Panthers have the best chance for an upset, out of all the potential wildcard teams. And I really hope they make a series out of this, and would be thrilled if they took down the giant.
But being objective, there's no reason to vote against the Bruins right now. BOS in 5.
Never say never but unlikelyAs much as I love my friends who are Boston fans, I'd really love it if the Panthers did what the Blue Jackets did in 2019 just for the lols after all those records the Bruins shattered this year.
#2 - If you don't have nothing to lose, then you do have something to lose. Phew! Close call
#4- The biggest myth going. Every team the Bruins played was throwing everything they had at them. When you're the best in the league you have a target on your back. Everyone uses you as a measuring stick. I'd think I'd be more scared that they made it look so easy that it looked like it wasn't adversity.
Marchand is going to lick TF outta him
The example you gave pretty much happened.
Ullmark was chased from a game giving up a couple goals, came back in since Swayman got hurt, and came away with the win in overtime. Ullmark didn't let in another goal after coming back into the game.
What else are you looking for?
You're really reaching here to create a narrative. Didn't realize Buzzfeed had a sports section.
Starting the year without Grzelcyk, Marchand and McAvoy isn't facing adversity? Being predicted as a wild card team and setting records isn't facing adversity? Having a mediocre PP the last two months and still rattling off wins isnt facing adversity? Tf....Its a dangerous series...
1-Before start of season, florida was favorite to win the division... the sewson didn't started in a good way but they finished strong...
2- they dont have nothing to loose
3- they are alreasy in playoff mode and fighting for their life since a month
4- Boston didn't face a lot of adversity this season...
Honestly i got the feeling than panther will upset Boston
I just thing you dont know what adversity does mean...adversity is when thing didn't go the way you hoping, failures, misfortune... its how youre reacting when everything looking against you, when you need a high resilience and need to find everything you have inside you to overcome a pretty hard situation... sorry its kind of situation Boston didn't faced at all this seasom...yes they faced difficulties like everyone but its not adversity
If you consider regular season and playoff ( when youre playing to stay alive) as the same...
Losing 1 game and looking like you will lost a second one in playoff, youre in trouble ... in regular season youre fine and everything is ok...
Or can't land cause of all the flooding.Only way the Panthers are winning this series is if the Bruins plane breaks down on the way to Florida
We are confident? I am terrified of the first round lolBruins in 6. I am reading through the Bruins thread and am surprised at how confident their fans are to already win the Cup. I fully expect Boston to win this series, but the best team in the regular season rarely wins. Also the Bruins have 1 Cup in 50 years against a notorious choking franchise and have choked multiple years (2013, 2019, hell '96 vs Florida) we'll see how well this post ages but it's a long post-season.
You must be reading the wrong threads, because I haven't read one of us thinking we've already won the cup, even several think we may lose this series...Bruins in 6.
