This is Ticketmaster's "view from seat" of our tickets to next Saturday's game in Tampa (right behind Tampa's bench)..

Yeah, I'm gonna have to say I want them to play Tampa in the first round.
And this is my view for all 4 Tampa games (should they be necessary). Seriously can’t believe they’re only $150 US each (I’ll actually be in the front row of this section too!)

There's one advantage the Leafs have over Tampa Bay this year- they would absolutely feast on the atrocious TB penalty kill. That could break the series wide open in the Leafs' favour.

But the drama of a Boston-Toronto series is much, much more attractive to me IMO. I want nothing more than to send the Bruins packing.
I would rather get our revenge on the Bruins in the 2nd round. Or not and watch from a far as they fail.

Can someone add a poll on who you guys prefer... I'm genuinely curious....

I would think you'd prefer to play Boston... but could be wrong

Honestly, my family is stoked just to get away for a bit from the coldest/crappiest Spring I can remember. But if we get to see the Leafs close to front row in a playoff game while we're at it, it's going to be like a magical fairy-land dream come true. :)

The consensus is that we don’t really care.

We’d love to stick it to Boston, who we’ve played well against, but we also think we can beat Tampa Bay due to their PK and Vasi not looking like himself.

It’ll be a tough series either way

Yeah, there is no point in having a preference. I think both teams are great, the Leafs will be slight underdogs against either team, but they can also beat either team. If we are good, we have known for over a month that we are going to have to get through both anyways so who cares who we face first.

Whoever gets out of the Atlantic is likely going to the SCF IMO. I hope it’s us.

TB
But my reason is selfish.
Roommate (cousin) is a Bruins fan, I don't want bloodshed....just yet.

That aside though.
Id think Bruins are the better match, when all is considered.
It would be better to dispatch of the Bruins now, rather than letting them (potentially) get their game rolling against the Devils. And let TB get into a offensive battle with the Devils, they are worn out already and Vasi looks tired.

But the last thing I am doing is looking past anyone.....but this board is meant for speculation.

That being said.
I still want TB.

my preference switches back and forth on a game by game basis haha..both teams have been very up and down lately..hard to say. tampa schooling boston 4 - 0 their last game really threw a monkey wrench in my thought process

Our playoff victories over the Sens say take the cold goalie. We won series against their cold goalies we had no business winning. Remember Nieuwendys "snipes"?

Tampa has to be preference. Anyone saying they don't care is lying. Deep down they want tampa.

So true, they seem to always cry about reffing. But let's look at the facts this season:

  • Boston PP Opportunities: 11th league wide
  • Toronto PP Opportunities: 27th league wide
The two clubs were tied in this stat last year (16th/17th overall). Prior to that it seems Toronto would get more PPs per season, but seeing as how this is a completely different team from 2016 onwards this is irrelevant.

For the time being that excuse won't fly as it's compete bunk.

Where do you find these stats?

Let's move on and talk about this game tonight.

Heed my warning in the locked thread, and tread lightly if you are going to the Bruins board. This is your only warning. I would avoid it altogether.
