Toews-Makar? Weegar-Ekblad if they stay together, Pelech-Pulock is one I could see people liking too, there's a couple. I don't think its remotely ridiculous to have them in that conversation, even after just one game, but I kinda see the resistance. We'll also see if they stay together.

Weegar-Ekblad isn’t touching that.

Only pair one can make an argument is Toews-Makar

Very real potential to be the top pairing in the league but I can see people being pissy saying this after one game.
Toews Makar has talent out the ying yang but is it as well rounded ?

Exactly. Only a pairing with Hedman, Makar, or Fox can compete. Do their partners compete with Lindholm? I have doubts. Time will tell.

To me, he was a player the Ducks should have moved mountains to retain. I understand the “risks” with 8 year term, but he is a defensive stalwart and would have been excellent in leading our defense and their rebuild. It just was a poor call by Verbeek, is my opinion.

Always have thought Lindholm is a top 15-20 dman in this league, and I’m sure he’ll become even higher rated and respected now. Congratulations to Bruins fans - you got an excellent one.

if the team that developed him and knows him best felt like that kind of term wasn't a smart move, I would probably trust them.

Pretty good return so far...the guy is a beast. Bruins haven't had a shutdown pair like that since Chara/Seidenberg
