Sabres fans have been very complimentary of players traded off their team over the years, Reinhart, Ullmark, Lenher. I think you just aren't a fan of the city, based on your comment in other threads about the Sabres...

From what I’ve read, I think that’s a picture of himself in his avatar.
I’m pretty sure he is Jack Eichel.

Put joki on a half way decent team with structure and he will be fine

I believe he is one of the players in Buffalo where he was being asked to do too much

who the hell do we have at right D? this doesn't make the team better...
Dahlin on offhand, Clifton, and Jacob Bernard-Docker. Jokiharju was not going to re-sign with Buffalo, so it's better to get something (even if it is practically nothing). They still have to find a partner for Power. I guess the new guy goes there for now.

Got it, so Eichel, ROR, and most recently today Cozens and Joker, all suck.

Maybe ill go back and find those trade threads and well see whats what.

Nobody was ripping on ROR either. Eichel is still a douche-canoe, but not a single Sabres fan was saying he was a bad hockey player. You’re reaching for something that just isn’t f***ing there. We bag on Joki because he sucks. Read any thread about him on our board from the last ~3 years, you’ll see the same unanimous opinion over and over again.

The only pkayer I've throen under a bus is Eichel

Eichel numbers when healthy with sabres vs Vegas has been similar

Reinhart has higher numbers

ROR -- we told you he was good.

Rodrigues FLA pkayedxwith Richel in collegr and signed in buffalo

Ruhwedel sabres signed as a college UDFA then went to Pittsburgh

Ullmark-' buffalo drafted

Mittlestadt-- hes a decent player but he is no the type who can lift his linenates. Hes mainly an assist player that generally is 15-23 Range in goal scoring that needs decent wingers with him

It almost seems like you’re upset that people didn’t like Eichel as a person and now you’re just projecting that into every Sabre thread that you can go to claim things that clearly aren’t true. But hey, you do you.

Fabbro for free, willman for a 1st, joker for a 4th, Carlo for a 1st nd Minten....
it's like the DOPS wheel of justice has been placing value on defensemen lately....

Jokiharju can move himself and the puck smoothly when he has time. His processing can be a bit predictable, like double clutching in a car to finally get the shifter into place. It can lead to hiccups. At times, he's been their third PMD option for things like the PP prior to the arrival of either Power or Byram. He's good enough at it to move the puck around on a PP if needed. However, he has been known to make some dubious puck watching mistakes in his own zone and he drifts out of position on the regular, leaving lanes and gaps around the net. And rare has the player been who has the ability to have pucks bounce off of him and into the net or right onto an opponent's stick around the crease. He's not particularly physical and he's not a good PKing option - some of Buffalo's PK improvement last year was in severing him from that duty until late in the season. That was where his tendency to be slushy in his positioning comes into play and is the most dangerous. He's never really had another stay-at-home partner to cover for him offensively - the processing speed means he can get caught on odd-man rush situations too - but Boston's forwards are so much better at being back and on the right side of the puck that he may have more impact and it could help augment his weaknesses.

Wish him well, he did what he could. His father is a riot - hope he gets to read a lineup for the Bruins at some point too.

This guy is a decent #5 no?

Basically yeah. Can move the puck a bit, needs a stouter partner, can fill in on a PP in a pinch. He struggles on the PK due to how he loses his positioning and gets mesmerized by the puck so that's not a place to play him much IMO.
