They should've traded him, he could've gotten good value in a trade. He just can't stay healthy and has no offensive ability whatsoever. Solid defensively and if he stays healthy it'll be a good deal, but can anyone really count on him at this point to stay healthy? That concussion history and other injury history would scare me.

The Bruins playoff record with a healthy Carlo: 5-2
With injured Carlo: 1-3

They lost 3 straight games to the Islanders after Carlo got hurt, giving up an average of 5 goals. The guy is key.

As an Islander fan I agree that losing Carlo was absolutely the turning point of that series.

I was always a fan of Carlo, but seeing him more regularly throughout this year I was even more impressed.

On one hand I feel so, so bad for Carlo lol. He's easily one of the best pure d-men in the league but it doesn't show up in his numbers to the point where he could bring it to the negotiating table.

On the other hand, this deal is superb and we take those lol
