The game is on ESPN again, f*** me. Now I have to rummage around to find some shitty stream again.
I'm close to caving in and just getting ESPN+. At home I get everything but, problem is I'm not home often.

Not of a fan of these national games. Way, way too much babbling over the play by the multiple color commentators. ESPN also likes to toss graphics on the screen like the standings when play is going on.

Fortunately, my brother-in-law has an ESPN+ account that I'm able to use, but I couldn't get it to work on my TV last game, couldn't get my phone to project it onto the TV (was only doing sound) and finally just watched on my PC which I'm assuming I'll just do tonight. I swear this league does everything in its power to make watching the actual games more and more difficult.

I watched hockey on UHF. Flyers at Devils before I had Sportschannel.

I wouldn't watch anything that's on there other than when the Devils are on, total waste for me to pay for it. I really liked NBCSN's coverage, ESPN is a complete clown show.

Yeah, NBCSN was great. I enjoyed their broadcasts and intermission reports.

I stopped watching national games now that they're on ESPN and TNT. They brought the NFL intermission formula to their broadcasts - a bunch of meatheads yukking it up in studio over nothing remotely funny.

Yeah it’s total cringe, embarrassing TBH. Only thing I don’t mind is PK.

I’ll just listen to Matt and Chico I guess.

I use my friend's account, but if something happened i would have no problem paying for a subscription. It's totally worth it. You get like 90% of the hockey games on any given night.

My only problem is that the app is a bit slow. That could just likely be a product of how I use it on my TV

The TNT studio is way better than NBCSN. The last thing I care about is watching Mike Millbury and Jeremy Roenick use a telestrator to point out something that I already watched with my own eyes.

Chelios and Messier are awful in the ESPN studio though.

I've been paying for both ESPN+ and center ice this year, not knowing before hand that ESPN+ has EVERY game that center ice does, other than the NHLN games.

Center ice has been a dumpster fire this year, which might be more on my provider than anything. Earlier in the year I was turning on some of the channels and they weren't loading and I couldn't watch the games.

They haven't been doing that for the last 2 months or so, but now I've noticed in the last week+ that the feeds are literally 3 minutes behind in real time.

So I've stopped using those channels and I'm watching everything on ESPN+ now, as it's as least much closer to real time.

If anyone can name all the references and memes used, I'll be impressed
The only anime reference I know is Anya from Spy x Family, which I'm currently watching!

I've been casually getting into anime the last year and a half and watched some that some friends recommended like Death Note, Parasyte, Odd Taxi (really liked that one), Cowboy Bebop (which I absolutely loved), Psycho Pass and a few more, but if you have any recommendations, I'd be down to take a look!

I think @TheUnseenHand is a big fan too, if you have any recommendations don't hesitate! :thumbu:

I'd love some recs too. I've completed almost 30? shows now and even read a few mangas. Code Geass is hands down my favorite. Favorite show ever

Recommend the Disney bundle.

Disney, ESPN+, Hulu

$13 a month. The Disney app is fantastic so thats worth the price alone.
Me and a few buddies all split an account. Best monthly $3 I spend

Honestly, so far Cowboy Bebop is my favorite by far. Love the character development, the story, the soundtrack and just the vibe is general. The fact it was made basically 25 years ago is also wild, watching it when it first came out must have been crazy. Absolute classic imo.

Really disappointed in the ESPN production value. That last game against the Canes was awful. The amount of times they cut to a ridiculous studio update in lieu of critical replays was crazy.
Muffled audio

Delayed game audio

Inconsistent audio level

Lack of replays

Zero chemistry amongst the commentary trio

Best thing was Subban

Trigun, but the original series and not the new one.
