They had a referee on the line. He said that usually that refers to “bang-bang” plays, eg the puck falls on the stick of a team mate a foot or two away from the goalie.

league has gotten soft, goalies used to play without masks. Can't take a 90mph puck to the side of the head? Stay in the kitchen.

Honestly we faced a team that went to war against the Islanders and Devils this week meanwhile we are high off back to back road wins against two top teams. We still somehow had a 1-0 lead mostly due to Quick. Didn't have it tonight but I'm glad we have a game tomorrow. Gonna bet big on it I think we win big.

We went from the "ice sucks" to realizing players were trying to get too cute with their plays. Which is why Edmonton scored 4 goals in that period.

Defense was clinical the first 40. Oilers first two goals came from lucky bounces that they cashed in on with authority. Bad passing took care of the rest. Lucky bounces or no, Rangers didn’t look as sharp to start the 3rd.
