Boeser's next contract will be much less expensive than Forsberg's and he's almost three years younger. Probably will cost fewer assets to acquire too. If it's just for the rest of this season as a rental then I'll take Forsberg but long term Boeser is the better bet.

Forsberg is the much better all around player. The only real question here, is the UFA/RFA status and team control. But realistically, I don’t see the contracts ending up that different. So I’d rather have, and be negotiating with the player I’m more comfortable doling out the big money contract on anyway. And that’s Forsberg.

Not sure about Forsberg but for Boeser it will be around:

5-6 yrs 6.75 AAV

He certainly isnt going to get more than Q Hughes on the Canucks which is at 6.9 AAV.

Hughes is 7.85
