Lineup tonight:

Barbashev-Bozak-Neal
Kostin-Brown-Anas
Walker-Alexandrov-Frolik
Clifford-Joshua-MacEachern

Walman-Bortuzzo
Mikkola-Perunovich
Rosen-Santini

Husso
Ellis

Interesting that every single guy that’s on the bubble, is in tonight. Except for Neighbours. So you have to wonder if that means they’ve seen enough and he’s already earned a spot.

This is one I would watch even so. They should be beaten, but watching bubble players working (hard) to earn a spot makes it interesting indeed.

The best is that I actually can watch the game! Its live on Viaplay (scandinavian tv)...

That should be the case, but a similar lineup against Columbus was some of the most lackluster hockey I've ever seen in my life.

Maybe they'll get more energized because Minnesota is better and faster, so they'll have to work hard to stay in the game, but I'd temper my expectations.

I concur! Still, it may be the last chance they have before a decision has to be made. A poor and lacklustre effort tonight will definitely affect my impression of those who dont "care". You need to have character to play for this team. If you havent, Chief is going to bring out the hammer!

I'd like to see Neal get a contract.

Agreed. A much cheaper, but older version of Hoffman should be helping the team. At least in special teams that is. He need to be motivated though (all season long). Work-ethics will be the key. So far so good. He plays for a contract. The only question I have is, will it change when he gets one?

He probably will get a contract. I just hope it's not at Kostin's or Neighbours' expense.

Not Kostin, but Neighbours more likely. One more year in development playing 17+ minutes each game would do Neighbours good. Kostin is ready now. Agree with it or not, Blues has a history of taking their time with young ones. Kostin is actually a good example of it.

A highly motivated Neal could really be a boost for us short term. Lets not forget that.

Berube's comments sure make it sound like he wouldn't mind have Neighbours here this year.
If Neal is willing to be a healthy scratch sometimes, both could work out fine especially if Tarasenko is in their mind as a tradeable asset for defensive help.

Sure. Its a good thing no doubt. And it shows that Berube likes what he sees. It is also a way for a coach to show belief and confidence in a player without bashing or gloryfying a young mindset. Which again could lead to a much bigger understanding and accept when he is sent down. The result being Neighbours doing the right stuff in the lower leagues and getting ready for next season. Then, he will be making a bigger impact and so on.

Just my two cents on what I think going to happen really...

MacEachern scores early!!! Blues did a nice job of several players getting position in front of the net.

And The Wild have a Turgeon. Is he Pierre's grandson?
