We'll see who's right. My prediction is Husso starts vs Dallas and I'm 100% sure this would be a different game with Binnington in goal. If Berube wants to win, Husso is his best option.
what would you be saying if WAS had buried those 4 open nets in the 1st?

Haven’t read the thread, but not able to watch tonight, how’s it going? I see the score so it can’t be too bad lol

Score is a little bit misleading. Without Husso, this game could be much tighter. Blues are the better team but not by much. Got dominated early in the 1st and Caps should have scored at least 1 or 2 more in the 1st.

remember last year when folks didn't even wanna invite Husso back to camp?

good times..

Blues are lucky IF husso is really this good (prolly is) and IF Lindy is as good as he showed (small sample size, but wouldn't it be nice) and Binny... that's 3 really good goalies..
And they have Hofer, too. So, that'll mean they can package Lindgren in a trade for their long-desired top-4 LD, and make The Blues one of the deepest and best teams in The NHL.

If DA gets a top 4 D with Lindgren as the main piece we need to build him a statue! What a steal lol hope your right!

No agenda here love everything Binny has done for this club! I am routing for every Blues goalie. However, the team seems to play a little more conservative for Husso and Chucky. It would be nice if they played that way when Binny is in net.

When Allen was here they played scared in front of him and played confidently in front of Binny! I think they play a bit to over confident in front of Binny this season. His cockiness must be infectious. Just my thoughts.
think you're on to something here....team plays tighter with newer keepers.. looser with Binny...

nice to have Husso's mom in the chat... shouldn't you be over in the asylum?

We are getting fortunate this game that we were converting on our chances and the Caps aren’t.

I don’t think we’ve played particularly well and none of the lines have looked that good.

Still would like to see more lineup changes next game.

Yeah. I think people tend to overrate Lindgren based on recent performances much like they overrate Binnington. Not bad but the Blues are usually (not today) easy to play goal behind because they're defending the slot well. That's why even bad or average goalies are sometimes able to produce good numbers for the Blues short term. Once they play more and get figured out (eg Binnington) it gets more difficult so shipping Lindgren somewhere else would be a smart move if there's interest.

Hofer is very raw and not ready for NHL action now but I like him a lot going forward. Could be be a great option soon.

She was so hot in Starship Troopers. One of my favorite movies of all time. No joke.

Have you watched the Blues in the last couple seasons?

Great 2nd Period by The Blues. They tightened up their Neutral Zone game, and as The Caps were still sloppy with the puck, The Blues jumped on their mistakes (loose pucks), and got a bunch of odd-man rushes, 3 of them leading to goals. The Blues have been playing too well for most of this season to have it be a fluke. I think they're for real because of breakout seasons by Kyrou, Thomas, Barbashev, and Husso, and Krug's more solid integration into the team's game, better play by Binnington, and Buchnevich's and Saad's solid play. Their newfound ability to score regularly (with no droughts) both at ES AND on The Power Play, helps their slight loss of defensive skill by losing Pietrangelo. Playing much better in The Neutral Zone, and keeping the puck in The O-Zone much more, helps out the team defence.
