yeah, lucky there, but that's been the problem. the FORWARDS arent' clearing the dzone, and they GET chances to do so
stats don't always tell the whole story... that last sequence for example... Avs hit 2 posts that wont even register as shots on goal and had us running around pretty good
Blues def has trouble against speed teams... have for awhile *cough cough Arizona cough*
the way to negate that is hard forechecking and hitting.. and we're not able to catch anyone to put pressure on em
Sharp may be my Favorite 2010-2020 Ex-Hawk.hahaha.. love it
Sharp says "Chief is a scary man, but a great coach" lol
To be clear I am not blaming Bozak on that play. Blues forwards have to stop cheating on the offensive side of things yes but when your puck carrier is being pressured you have to position yourself in a clear lane to receive a pass to relieve the pressure. It is defensive hockey 101.

Has Hoffman even stepped on the ice tonight??
Looks like he's only had 4 shifts with about 2 1/2- 3 minutes of ice time in total.I've noticed him... his check was what sprung Barby for his goal
They got us right where they want us, the 2nd periodgot em right where we want em
Good 1st Period by The Blues after looking terrible again at first. I just wish they would get determined to play well and win at the beginning of games, instead of starting out flat all the time.

Lousy break on Parayko. He won't likely be returning at all in this game. But, the fact that the trainer didn't rule it out completely probably means that it isn't a serious, long-term injury.
