May sound a little weird, but this Colorado team reminds a ton of Boston 2019 SCF with us.

Colorado doesn't do a ton against us on 5 on 5 scoring wise, but kill us on the power play.
bruins played a heavier game and had a elite goaltender though. avs are just a pure PP team and the stats show as much, they also are faster than the bruins. once the calls dry up for em, they are gonna get dumped on again like dallas did to em. just a matter of time with teams like that.

I watched the game later but it’s only one game. I still see the same mistakes all game long with turning the puck over in the D and neutral zone. The Blues lucked out that the Avs didn’t capitalize on a bunch of chances.

The Blues needed the W but it was ugly

the avs are a soft (figure skating ) team ....the bruins would wipe the floor with them

I agree with that.

Just meant in the sense that in 2019, Blues controlled the game 5 on 5 (We didn't control the 5 on 5 like we did then) and that was where we did all of our scoring, but we couldn't do crap on special teams. Bruins couldn't score 5 on 5, but seem like every PP they scored.

Yeah I realize they play a different style. I just meant in the sense that Avs do all of their damage on PP like the Bruins did against us.

We did all of our scoring 5 on 5 and controlled the play (We didn't control the 5 on 5, but did most of our scoring on it), whereas Bruins did all of their damage on PP against it seemed like.

Avs are missing. Rantanen, EJ, Byram, Calvert and Donskoi.

When they fully healthy they are force.

But overally this game gave to me trust.

Really worries me Parayko. Is he done for season and future?

I missed Berube's comments about this game.

Was he happy?

Seems like we still had too many turn overs, too many penalties, and our puck management was poor.

Berube said that it wasn't related to his back, so that's a positive sign
That is a good sign. Let’s hope/pray he’s not out long!! With Faulk back to his turd playing and being left with our small and fast 3 pack of mostly offensive defensemen, we have no chance without Colt.

You missed the biggest piece they're missing in Grubauer. He's been out several games due to covid protocol.
